The guard examines the badges and shrugs and says, "Alright. I guess you're new. Stay out of the magic lab. It's locked so it shouldn't be a problem but we had one idiot find a way in once and he isn't around anymore. Stick to the offices and bathrooms. They're down that way," as he indicates a hall full of doors to the right.

Kitaro responds

"You got it omae, we'll make sure to stay clear of the magic lab, thanks for the warning."

He then proceeds to push the cleaning cart towards the hall they pointed at.

Sam follow Kitaro's lead.

Emiko nods and follows as well.

Sun strolls along with the others.

Kitaro parks the cart in the middle of the hallway and starts cleaning.
He looks to see what the guards are doing, more exactly if they stay on this floor or if they seem to be moving on.

You spend some time cleaning the offices trying to figure out the rotation of the guards. As far as you all can tell, the guards appear to be assigned to this floor. They have a desk near the elevator where they can sit for a while, then they do a walk around of the floor, peeking into each of the offices before returning to the desk. Sam's maglock info supports this. The magic lab where the vault is appears to be the only room with a maglock on it that they don't enter.

Sam checks the matrix space for any devices that the guards might use to sound an alarm or otherwise call for help.

The guards have commlinks for sure. There may be a panic button wired into the desk, though one would have to check to be sure. It has no wireless icon at least, but presumably can be accessed through the system's host. There are also cameras in the hallway. Presumably someone is monitoring them for trouble.

Kitaro quickly looks up the most recent game of Urban Brawl and memorizes the result and the summary of how the game went.
He then walks over to the guard's desk with his duster and starts cleaning.
After about 30 seconds, while continuing to clean the dust, he begins a casual conversation.

"So, how about that game hey chummers. how about that game"

With Kitaro engaging the guards in some sort of inane conversation, Sam finds a spot out of range of the cameras where he can plug in. He finds an access panel, but at is in view of the guards. Hopefully, they won't notice him plugging in.
Sam makes his way to the spot, being janitorly on his way, and activates his directional jammer, pointed towards the guards.
He sets Jeeves and Lycos with instructions to loop the video once he hacks the cameras.
When the guards don't seem to be looking, Sam opens the panel and plugs in.

One of the guards gives a look that screams, "Oh boy here we go," while the other says, "The Dragons game? Boy was that exciting, right? Kaigara-chan was incredible. Everyone was saying how they weren't sure about her replacing Kaminari-san when he was hit by that train last game, but she makes one HELL of a heavy. Not only is she incredible with that shotgun of hers but she's got crazy speed and agility. After seeing her score three goals yesterday, I think she's totally going to bring the Dragons to the finals. I mean did you freaking SEE her take down the Spears' banger and two heavies all at once? Didn't even take a scratch! It was INSANE!"

Meanwhile Sam quietly attempts to plug in to a nearby access panel, hoping that Kitaro's distraction is enough to let him get in and out before they notice. He holds his breath as he plugs the data cable into the universal port. The guards don't seem to notice, at least for now.

Sam leaves the AI editing the video feed for now, and he checks to see if the guards have some means of sounding an alarm that is not currently being jammed.

Matrix perception

Sam once again finds himself in the old castle style, having entered through a camera node. There are noticeably fewer icons running about. In fact, almost none. A ninja and a samurai can be seen looking around for intruders and that is about it. Besides that, the once bustling castle is now practically deserted.

Sam remains unseen as he edits the camera feed and begins searching for some signs of an alarm or something. It does not take him long to find a panic button icon.

Meanwhile, Kitaro is nodding enthousiastically at the guard who's doing all the talking. Every now and again making a tiny remark like. "Damn right chummer" or "Yeah, what a piece of drek."
He tries to keep the conversation going as long as possible while doing his best not to reveal his lack of knowledge on the subject.

Meanwhile, Emiko goes looks for an office with a computer she can plug in. She is making a show of cleaning the office, waiting for Sam to give the ok to hack in.

Sam hacks a mark onto the panic button, and commands Jeeves and Lycos to disable the button.

((I'm not sure of the best way to disable a panic button. Either having it just do nothing when pressed, or else redirecting the signal to send to the guards already on the floor's commlink instead of wherever the panic signal is supposed to go to. Or if there's a better, more obvious way to do it))

Freely in the host, Sam attempts to get access to the panic button with the aid of his agent programs. Unfortunately, he is a bit overconfident in his attempt and fails to mark the button despite it's relatively meager defenses. The ninja and samurai seem to notice Sam...
