It was a rough couple of days, but Sun managed to make it back home alive and significantly richer. Besides that, he was feeling a lot more confident about his abilities and a little bit of the survivors guilt had lifted from his shoulders.

After having rested up, Sun checks his phone for the number of Michiko so he can invite her over to the noodle shop so they can talk.
After accidentally calling a local pet shelter, someone who, in a sultry voice, introduced herself as "Kinky Kikiro", an old guy who's all too happy to finally have someone to talk to, the city's tax department, and a foreigner who doesn't speak a word Desian, he finally gets through to Michiko.

My boss warned me to drop it or he'd fire me, but I pushed it anyway, so I can't say it was a surprise exactly. But some stories just need to be told, you know? Those poor women... I don't know what happened to them, but of the two options, I honestly can't decide which would be the worst fate: having your sense of self permanently stolen so your body can be used for sexual exploitation for the rest of your life, or being crushed in a trash compactor with dozens of other women, unable to even scream for help." | Michiko says, "Well, to sum up the gist of it, Yakuza kidnapped an inventor, Dr Nakamats if you've heard of him, to surgically insert a drone brain into the heads of SINless women so they could be reprogrammed to work in brothels. Sam went down there to stop it and when the police showed up, a cleaner convinced them to look the other way. The police never saw the girls, just some axed up bodies of the guards. I'm not really sure what happened to the bodies. Sam doesn't seem like the type to be capable of that. Anyway, the police were too concerned with the murdered guards to investigate the factory and so when they left the yakuza took the girls away in the back of a garbage truck. Sam and I give even odds that they either disposed of the girls by crushing them in the garbage truck and dumping them someplace, or took them to someplace more secure until their systems can be completed." |

| Michiko says, "Organized crime isn't really my specialty, but the Yamaguchi are the largest Yakuza clan in the world. Some of higher members are pretty well known people, just in a general sense. They try to present themselves as a needed community service so they remain respected, despite their criminal activities. I have to believe that something like this getting out would be a black eye for them in the very least. That's why my boss wanted the story squashed. People who piss off any of the Yakuza clans don't tend to live long." |

Since I can't get the stories I want on the air actually published without a lot of hassle, I was thinking of starting up a pirated trid broadcast where I could put out the truth without censorship. Unfortunately I haven't been having much luck looking for revenue streams to fund it and a girl's gotta eat. Not to mention the other costs involved." |
