Torpor agrees we should keep at least one. Two is fine, we just need to figure out an easy food source for them. Do you think haggling price is worth it for the last 3 out just take 3k?

It's hard to say without knowing their true value.  Hopefully Mikuzume will get back to me soon, I sent all the data we had and some video of them when we found them.  It may also make us an offer for them.

Assuming we can figure out how to feed them, I'd say hang on to them until we know more.

I suppose its possible I know something about them as well...

Not catching enough rats in the garage, is good yet not so good. Torpor looks for a local pet shop that may have large rats as pets for sale, perhaps.

Torpor easily finds a pet shop with various rodents for sale, rats included. The rats cost 2 nuyen each.

Mikuzume responds with the same information and offer as A.I.D. When asked about food, she mentions that while the spiders will happily feed on any astral or non-corporeal being, there are some that are not sapient. In particular, there is a kind of astral vampire bat that feeds on emotion called an "aurafeeder" that is their staple. They are difficult to catch as one needs a means to hold onto them on the physical plane unless they plan on staying in the astral plane forever.

WuJen considers that...

A Mana barrier spell would do it. A box prepared in similar fashion to a lodge or permanant circle would also probably work, and no doubt something could be worked out with Enchanting.

He asks Mikuzume if it knows where a supply to sustain a couple of them could be gotten, and what it would cost?

Mikuzume says that aurafeeders are quite common on the astral plane, at least anywhere where there are people with emotions. The only issue being finding a way to capture them that doesn't involve going to the astral plane, constantly hunting and offering them to the spiders by hand. She knows of no suppliers and if she had the responsibility of feeding the ghost spiders, she would probably just give them some large enough room to move around and make webbing so they could feed themselves.

WuJen thinks that sounds easy enough. The roof might work if we can keep the spiders more or less contained. Longer term we might co-opt some space out in the more rural areas.

Did Mikuzume have any comments on the Spider Lady?

Mikuzume has no records of a "spider lady" but from what has been told to her, she suspects it is a rare species of shapeshifter. Research will have to be done to learn more.

Depending on the size of the rats, Torpor grabs like 10 or 20. If need be we can case them and if they breed them we have more food.

If you are looking for larger animals, the store has other rodents such as guinea pigs and rabbits.

Umm rats not mice. (Like New York City sized pet rats the size of cats) if there are large animals, rabbits are bigger. Let's get like 10 rabbits.

I get the rabbits and feed one to one of the spider to see if it will eat it, or whatever.

Chougou and Sun

((don't worry about dice You have 2 dice and a strength of 1 vs Sun with 13 dice and a strength of 7 plus various adept powers. You aren't physically capable of dealing a single point of damage to him unarmed even if he was tied down and let you beat the crap out of him. Remember to update your sheet btw.))

Chougou and Sun spar a bit. Now that he is taller and skinnier, Chougou finds that he wears down a lot quicker in his new body. Sun takes it easy on Chougou so as not to injure him, but there really is no comparison between their skill levels. Sun could defeat Chougou with both hands tied behind his back and blindfolded and if he went full out, he could pretty much crush Chougou with a single blow if he wasn't wearing armor. With the armor, maybe two blows? Despite this, Chougou gets a good workout and maybe if he practiced a lot he could get to the point that he could defend himself against an average middle school bully.

Chucking the rabbit into the cage and slamming the door shut before the spider can react, Torpor manages to attempt to feed the spider. The spider pounces on the rabbit and eats it hungrily as the little critter twitches under the effects of the spider's venomous fangs. It is unclear whether this is proper nutrition for the spider, but it at least is eating. The other spiders audibly pace around their cages.

I look around the cages, is there a way they used, like a trap door or anything, to feed the spiders? Now that they are all worked up I'm thinking I may need help with this.

Over comms Torpor says,"Could I get a hand with the siders? I am trying to feed them and may need some help."

"What kind of have help?"

The cages don't appear to have any real feeding mechanism, but given that they normally feed on astral beings, it can probably be assumed that whatever they were given was delivered on the astral plane.

"I'm thinking open the cage quickly to toss in the rabbit. But cover me with a gun in case they get past me as I try to feed them. I prefer non lethal as we don't want to kill then. Unless someone has a better idea."

"We really should think about how we should do this instead of let's open it and hope for the best!!" And ichigo will draw his squirt just in case things go slide ways

"How about I put up a wall inside the cage to keep the spider away from the door long enough to drop the food in and close it back up?"

"We just need to move the cages somewhere with some space to let them make their webs.  The astral things they normally feed on are fairly common anywhere there are people.  Obviously that's not something we can fix this instant, but surely between us we can figure out how to weld some new cages on the roof and provide a covering to keep them out of the weather."

"If that woman really was some kind of shifter related to these things, as has been suggested to me by Mikuzume, I wish she was around to ask and maybe even help out.  We should do what we can to find her when we have opportunity."

Hearing the word "wish", Sun runs over. "Have I got the solution for you! All you have to do, is summon that soul-eating demon again and your wish for hostile spiderladies can be granted!"

Torpor shakes his head at Sun's comment,"it dies not work like that my friend. And we probably should not talk about her any more, for reasons."
Torpor then turns to Wujen, "That would be great, then I could feed them, without worrying about having to put them to sleep. Thanks."
