Mission 5a - i-Sexbot

Once Sam finishes disabling the drones, Emiko begins using her Sequencer on the maglock.

Emiko turns to Tetsu and says, “um Tetsu... I think we may have some people coming to this door.” She backs from the door and pulls out her taser.

She quickly messages Sam

>>>>>they’re coming

Sam looks in matrix space for any gear the nearby guards may be carrying that is connected to the matrix. Secondarily, he looks for the icon for the maglock to the door they are in front of. (8 hits)

Sam hits his configurator, and sends a data spike at one of the guards commlinks. Jeeves helps Lycos data spike the other, once Sam has activated the configurator. (5 hits on each data spike)

((If the guards are still alive and conscious by Emiko’s turn...))

Emiko says to the guards, masking her real voice to a more menacing one, “put your weapon(s) down, get on the ground, and put your hands up in the air or my axe wielding friend will relieve your shoulders of your head. You have 3 seconds. 1...”

Emiko, not accustomed to seeing bodies torn open and innards displayed on the ground, has to resist the urge to throw up. She quickly moves to the once again locked door, avoiding the blood and guts as best she can, and uses her sequencer once more.

Not knowing that one of the guards has been dispatched, or which commlink that guard was associated with, Sam sends a second volley of harmful code to finish off the currently glitching commlink. (11 hits)

Having disabled the commlinks, so that the guards will not be able to call for help, Sam opens the feed from Emiko's camera to see what is going on in meat space. He sees his prone body lying on the ledge, with another body. The door is open, and Emiko and Tetsu are nowhere to be seen.

Sam switches to AR, and sees the body next to him is the guard, cut almost in half. Sam gets up and steps over the body and goes into the blood soaked office.

"We should bring the body inside," he says.

He goes to the window and looks out over the factory floor below, searching for anything noteworthy, or different from what he saw through the drones. (7 hits)

If it seems clear, he turns his attention back to the drone node. He rearranges his deck back to its standard configuration, and attempts to place a second mark on the drone node. (7 hits)

Emiko walks into the room and tries not to look at the newly deceased man. Her first instinct is to put motion sensors under the doors that are closed to alert her if there is any motion outside the room. She then focuses on the guard’s clothes, looking for keycards or anything else in his pockets.

If nobody is coming to the room, or if her sensors do not go off, Emiko will look around the room for any clues about the factory.

Perception: 2 hits

Sam points out the guard to Emiko and Tetsu.
"It is probably too late already, but Emiko, try to take out his commlink so that he can not call for more help. I will try to disable the drones."
Sam turns his attention to the drone node and attempts to place a second mark on it (using roll from previous post)

Emiko goes in AR hot sim looking to connect to the guard’s commlink. She says to Sam, “I’m on it!”

Perception: 7 hits

Once she finds the commlink she attempts to put a mark on it.

Hack on the fly: 7 hits

She then sends Baruta to destroy the device.

Data spike: 2 hits

Sam turns off the drones, programming them to turn back on in a year. (5 hits)

Unaware that Tetsu went down to deal with the guard, Emiko sends another brute force attack.

Emiko continues her paper toad assault.

Data spike: 3 hits

Seeing Tetsu downstairs, likely about to dismember this guard, Sam considers hacking the guard's gun, but decides that by the time he got a mark onto the gun, Tetsu will likely have done his fourth murder of the night, anyway.

So, Sam reasons that his time is probably better spent disabling drones. He moves on to the next drone node and attempts to place a mark on it. (8 hits)

Sam doesn't think there's anything he can do to help out with the guard at the moment, so he attempts to place another mark on the drone. (6 hits)
