| The server room is clean and bare of anything except the server itself. A quick look around finds nothing of value beyond what you've already gotten and the shut down drones. With nothing else to do, the group heads up to the 17th floor and quickly finds the lab that Roku indicated. The door is (predictably) locked and Fuchougou can sense the astral barrier preventing him from entering. While the other two don't notice it, getting Fuchougou through could be a problem. Then again, he could wait outside while the others go in and take care of whatever is in there, provided they can get the door open. |  |

Fuchou plugs in the data tap and sends a message to Roku and then walks towards the oncoming footsteps to try to delay them long enough for Kitaro and Ichigo to get in the lab.

| "Yeah, I absolutely have," the scientist says, "You!" He looks down at a wrist commlink, apparently about to call security, but a look of horror comes across his face. He shows his wrist to his assistant and the sudden fear that issues forth from the pair is so strong, Fuchougou can taste it on the astral plane. They immediately begin to run. | |

Fuchou chases them and attempts to trip them by grabbing their legs. If he succeeds then he holds the gun to them and tells them to calm down so that he doesn't have to hurt them.

| Fuchougou manages to catch up to the scientist and assistant, then leaps forward in an attempt to grab them before they duck into a room. He falls on his face with each hand reaching for a leg. He can even feel each leg in his hands, but just can't get a hold on either of them. He does however notice that he managed to scratch each of them on the ankle, likely infecting both the scientist and the assistant. In their hurry to flee, neither notices the scratch though. They seal themselves into a room and lock the door. Seconds later, a security alarm begins to blare along and flashing red lights illuminate the corridors. Kitaro and Ichigo have surely not had enough time to finish the job. In fact, they haven't gotten through the door yet... |  |

He also sends a message to Kitaro and Ichigo to get out in the chaos that is surely coming. He asks Roku to do whatever she can to help them get out and to destroy anything on the ghoul machine that she can. This will likely be his last day.

| Kitaro and Ichigo get the door open after its lock is shot. Fuchougou is unfortunately completely unable to tell what is inside, partially due to his blindness and equally due to the astral barrier blocking his entry. While both Kitaro and Ichigo CAN see it, neither of them really has the technical knowledge to know what exactly it is they are looking at. "It's some kind of doohickey," Kitaro says, "Is that what we came to destroy?" Ichigo says, "Well, we don't really have the time to find out, do we? Keep watch outside while I set the explosives. Heat should be arriving any second." Kitaro then joins Fuchougou outside and waits. Ichigo shortly joins the trio and says, "Alright, the charges are ready, lets get the hell out of here." The moment the words slip out of his mouth, a heavily armored figure with what looks like a flamethrower in his hands appears in the hallway. "Prepare to be laid to rest, unliving abomination!" he shouts before charging at the trio. | |

| Fuchougou leads the other two down a hall, hoping that it leads to a stairwell. He actually finds both an emergency stairwell as well as a disposal chute for lab waste. The chute is large enough to fit in, but there's no way of knowing how safe the fall will be, particularly considering it's probably a 17 floor drop into gods know what kind of biohazard. But it is certainly a faster way out than taking the stairs, which looks like the only other option at the moment. | |

| With the fireman hot on your heels, neither Kitaro nor Ichigo has the time to wait to see what happens to Fuchougou before making a decision. Seeing that's the way he's going, they do the same and make the leap of faith. It soon becomes obvious that the chute isn't meant for the safety of people and is essentially a straight drop downwards, which is going to be lethal no matter what happens to be at the bottom. Thinking that if you are going to die anyway, you might as well die completing the job, Ichigo detonates the explosives, sending a massive rumble through the building and likely some casualties to anyone on the floor. Kitaro is less resigned to his fate and quickly hits all three of you with a levitate spell, slowing your descent to safer levels. You coast to the bottom of the building and emerge at the mouth of a trash incinerator. Luckily Kitaro has full control of your descent so he directs everyone around the incinerator, avoiding a fiery death. You all take a breath as you are set down on the floor of what looks like a basement. It's not outside, but it's closer to an exit than before. A look around the basement shows there is only one exit to this room: a locked steel door at the top of a metal staircase | |

| Luckily the card actually opens the door and the group find themselves in a garage. Dozens of squad cars are parked here and you can actually see a road leading upwards to the street, albeit an automated spike strip and crossing arm is there to prevent unauthorized entry and exit. That is, if you are a vehicle. For someone on foot, said spike strip serves no barrier to freedom. However, due to the explosion upstairs, the door to the precinct has opened and people are beginning to flood out as non-essential personnel evacuate the building. So far, no one seems to have noticed you, but you would have to pass them to get out. | |
