Chougou powers the drones back on and goes into hot sim preparing to have them follow in behind Torpor but to quickly go ahead of him and do a quick recon of the area.
((it would take a second to get into hot sim right? This is my best guess for what the init would be, but if it's wrong I'm writing formulas in my spreadsheet that will calculate what they should be...))

((@chougou - your matrix initiative is a completely separate thing from your normal initiative. It doesn't modify your normal initiative, it replaces it. So when you are doing hot sim, you add intuition and data processing together, then you roll 4d6 and add the result of that. When you are conscious and walking about in the real world, it's intuition + reflexes + 1d6. Your data processing varies on the settings of your deck, but it should never be 0. Last time you mentioned your deck settings you said 4 3 3 1. Remember those settings stand for Attack, Sleaze, Data processing, and Firewall (ASDF). So your data processing is currently 3.
So for this roll, if we take your first 4 dice, that means intuition (5) + data processing (3). Your 4d6 above were 5 1 1 6. So your initiative is 5+3+5+1+1+6 which should be 21 unless I added that up incorrectly.
Remember, while you are hot sim, your body is unconscious and unaware of the world around it. This may be an issue if someone enters the staircase. When you make any other rolls matrix rolls (like gunnery if you are directly jumped into a drone) remember that you get a +2 bonus to that because you are in hot sim. ))

Charging into the hallway, you quickly see there are two armed guards posted there and a heavy machine gun mounted on a rail which circles the room. Luckily for now, the machine gun has been powered down, but that will only last a few moments. The guards, not expecting trouble, are caught with their pants down, figuratively speaking. Best not to waste the opportunity...

Without hesitation, Sato dashes quickly into the hallway, making sure to leave Torpor as much of a firing lane as is practical. As he moves, he tries to observe as much as possible about the guards - armor, weapons, gas masks, communications, gear etc.
He moves past the first guard to engage the second (leaving the first for Torpor). His left arm moves in an arc as he feints and then drives his right hand towards a chink in the guard's armor, hand sparking with electricity.
((Unarmed combat with Shock Glove Damage is 8 electrical with AP -5 - assuming Attribute boost still running, if not, edge reroll failures))
((if attacked, Sato takes Full Defense using Agile Defender (AGI currently 7) so REA+INT+AGI = 4+5+7 = 16d6 defense))

If he is going to do something to disable it before then, it will mean physically going into it and pulling out wires but that's probably going to take more time than he has. Alternately, there is always blowing it up the old fashioned way.

((ok so hot sim is based on the matrix stats. I'm hoping that we get in and out so quickly that being dead to the world in the hallway won't be an issue, hopefully anyone that finds him will think he's an innocent victim of whatever they are coming to investigate...))
Chougou attacks the motorized components of the machine gun with the rotodrone trying to disable its ability to aim/move and to point it away from us ((because attacking a gun with a gun sounds a little...implausible ))

((@chougou - I can see your rolls just fine. If you want to avoid wonkiness in the future, I added a text based roller just now. Just use d6text instead of d6 when you are rolling and it should work every time

Given it is a stationary target, Chougou has no problem shooting the drone with his own drone. A large hole is put in the drone's casing. Presumably it is junked, but no way to tell for sure without climbing up there and examining it closely until it starts up again. For now, it remains motionless.

Sato charges the conscious guard and manages to strike him solidly. Electricity pulses through him, making him jolt back and a little dizzy, he is still standing, but barely.
Dizzied and barely able to stand, the guard instinctively draws his pistol and fires at Sato, but he is prepared and deflects the guard's hand before he fires, causing the shot to strike the wall uselessly. The guard does not look like he will be able to stand up to much more punishment...

Chougou has the rotodrone do a visual sweep of the room and then sends in the crawler go to any unseen areas in the room and reports back any information to Sato and Torpor through DNI.
After the rotodrone does its first sweep it goes back to aiming at the machine gun just in case it wakes up (presuming it doesn't see any other viable target).

Neither of the guards have any visible cyberware on them. A search of their bodies reveals they each have an SMG, light pistol, commlink, stun baton, and armor jacket. ((If you have any knowledge skills about weapons or electronics, you can make a check to identify them if you want))

The door swings open, revealing an empty genkan, or entrance room where one typically leaves their shoes before entering. A pair of expensive business shoes are neatly placed by the step that leads to the inner door, indicating at least one person is likely inside. The sounds of wind howl outside the window, and though you are above the clouds and rain, the occasional lightning below still causes the outlines of the shuttered windows to flash bright from time to time.
The lights in the genkan are currently off, forcing you to use the light of the hallway to illuminate your way. Beyond the genkan is a door to a hallway that goes left and right, and across the hallway is an open door to a small tatami room, apparently used to entertain guests.
The central hallway circles the entire floor, giving access to the various rooms in the penthouse.
