Setting up home base

Torpor says, "There is an paintball surplus shop down the road, they have gasmasks. I am going to run and grab one. Does anyone else need one? Maybe Sun. I say we close the door, I'll be back in twenty minutes, then we can continue."

Torpor backs out if the building and relocks the door, "can I get a ride, or should I take a taxi?"

"I have a bike you can use"

Chougou continues to send the flyspys and the rotodrone around the area to see what they can see, operating in subtle vehicle pilot mode (so -2 to anyone looking for them).

Torpor looks at Ichigo, "Sure, it is only a few minutes away. I should be right back." (( famous last words))
Torpor takes the keys and follows the directions on his commlink to the store. Looking to get two gasmasks.

(ooc: looks like someone accidentally hit the '”attack in the most suicidal and least subtle method posssible” button by mistake.

Torpor goes to the airsoft store (not paintball, which is illegal) and purchases a pair of gas masks for 500 nuyen. The purchase takes a little longer than he was expecting as he ends up stuck in a little conversation with the owner, a chain-smoking little old lady with a chihuahua. Still, eventually he extricates himself from the socially awkward moment about a half hour later and makes his way back to your base, gas masks in hand.


Meanwhile Chougou sends his drones flying around, but without opening the doors there is not much  to see that hasn't already been seen. During a routine maneuver, he ends up clipping a wall with the propeller of his rotodrone, which causes it to fall for a brief moment before he regains control of it. It is somewhat embarassing, but otherwise harmless.

Torpor returns and heads back to the group as he hands one of the masks to Sun he places his on, "Ok now, let's see if we can get to the little room first. Wujen are you going to follow in astral for this part as well or just when and if we get into the big room?"

I'll be right there. There could be something on the astral, or you may need spell defense, or something.

Sun puts on his mask, pays Torpor, as he'd rather not have a debt in these uncertain times, and heads inside as well.

Ichigo will put on his mask and also enter

Sun, Ichigo and Torpor don gas masks and head inside while Wujen follows astrally. Since the elevator is without power and the first door is locked, they make their way to the locker room with Chougou's drones humming behind. There is not much to hear other than the occasional sound of Chougou's drones bumping into walls, followed by a grumble and apology over the commlinks.

The body has been here for some time now without air conditioning during hot summer days and is well into decomposition. The stench would undoubtedly be horrifically foul if it were not for the gas masks that thankfully protect everyone from any smells in the area. The body itself appears to be a male in his undies as he was in the middle of changing when whatever happened went down. The nearby open locker contains lab clothes, casual clothes, a commlink, a security pass and a picture of what you assume to be the victim happily smiling next to a beautiful woman and a little girl. The picture is taped onto the inside of the locker door. The other lockers in the room are either locked or empty.

Torpor takes the commlink and the security pass, the rifles the locker, before looking at the other locked doors, "We should check the rest just in case there is anything we may need for the next room. Hopefully this badge will get us in." Torpor starts checking unlocked lockers before looked to the locked ones.

The unlocked lockers are empty. The locked ones are locked.

Torpor attempts to force one of the locks open. (What would that be?)

Ichigo will look around the locker room to see if there's anything that might be out of place other then the dead body lol.

((@torpor - If you are doing it with your bare hands, it's not going to work. You need a tool of some sort. Like a crowbar or something. Alternately if the power was on, they could be opened with a maglock passkey or some hacking skills.))

Ichigo notices nothing in particular. It is a dim locker room with no active lights and no windows.

Sun carefully removes the picture and stashes it away, making sure it won't wrinkle during transportation. Seeing as there's nothing particular here, he then walks back out into the hallway.

The hallway only has the elevator door and the one locked door. It is independently powered, so a passkey should work on it.

"Let's check out the other door." He walks over to the other door taking out one of the bags from the locker room, "Are we ready?"

Torpor places the badge against the lock and hold his breath as he waits a moment before pushing open the door.

There is sort of a hiss of decompression as air shifts between the room beyond this door and the hallway you enter from. Those of you on the physical plane are unhindered by the magical barrier protecting the room and can step in to see flowers. Tons and tons of flowers. Also dead scientists and what looks like a binding circle in the center of the room. Kneeling within the summoning circle is a young girl clutching a skull apparently belonging to a nearby skeleton. A metal collar is clamped around her neck, as well as several chains upon which the flowers appear to have overgrown.

The girl herself has red hair, pointed elf-like ears and a pair of long red horns atop her head. Eldritch symbols are drawn upon her forehead and her clothing is fairly old fashioned. As you enter, she looks up at you with glowing red eyes but says nothing. She does not appear to have been affected by the poison gas, though the scientists in the room seem to have died from it.
