Setting up home base

When Chougou makes it to the top of the stairs he is slightly taken aback by the woman in front of him and stammers out his wish:

"Please, I have been deformed my whole life. I have not been cruel to anyone and have only tried to help wherever I could. Please give me the ability to do more by making my body more in proportion to a normal metahuman being, somewhere between a dwarf and a human would be ideal but I will take whatever you can offer. In exchange for this favor I will offer some of my essence to you, enough to sustain you, but at the limit of what would kill me...I gladly offer this to you in exchange for my growth."

He steps forward a little bit and opens his arms to the side and leans his head back, closing his eyes and waiting to feel whatever happens.

Over the comms to Sam:

"I'm about to have a wish granted by a demon to grow taller, I'm sending you control commands for all my drones in case something goes wrong. You should be able to pick one and have it come to you, if I don't make it out of this then I want you to have them..."

Chougou transmits whatever file or code that would let Sam do that before he leans back waiting for the bite...or whatever is going to happen.

"Does this have something to do with the soul eating wish granter Sun just told us about? Good luck, Chougou!"

"It does" Chougou tries to say before he gives up his essence. "Thanks Sam."

(ooc: She said unwilling were less effective, not useless.  You just sacrifice a few more to make up the difference.  Seriously, in standard SR there is an African nation made up of infected.  I could see a place like that starting whole wars dedicated to the slaughter of others to cure themselves.)

WuJen sighs "Yes.  Of course that would be the soul eating wish granter that Sun mentioned and I explicitly warned was a Bad Idea.  I have no wish for her to starve or even be uncomfortable, but this sort of damage is about as bad as it gets.  This is the same thing that gets Vampires hunted on sight, and the reason awakened don't go in for cyber."

"I truly hope the alteration to his body is worth the price."

"Anyway, we are setting up the new place and found it was substantially less abandoned than advertised.  It sounds like your deal has gone a bit sideways, weren't you just doing a trace on some kind of vandal?"

"Something like that. We had some trouble finding her. But, we seem to have things pretty much r under control now. We're working on staging her death now."

Taishoko says, "So the contract has been said and so it shall be fulfilled."

Seconds later, Chougou's legs and arms begin to stretch and grow more proportionate to the rest of his body. His humped back suddenly melts and straightens and once all is said and done, he appears to be a normal human. The pain in his back has even cleared up, a pain that he has grown so used to over the years that he barely noticed it anymore until the moment it was completely gone. He isn't the handsomest person you have ever seen, but he doesn't look like a deformed freak anymore either.

((Chougou loses the quasimodo negative quality and is now a human instead of a dwarf, or koborokuru if you actually used the stats for that, though I am pretty sure you just built a dwarf. This means all your stat caps except edge are 6, your edge increases by 1, your body and strength decrease by 2 and your willpower decreases by 1. As for the essence cost, I will reveal that once everyone is done making their wishes ))

Torpor motions to ichiago, "You may go next if you so choose."

Chougou looks at his hands and his legs and his body, at least what he can see. He looks at Taishoko with a feeling of longing and sorrow mixed with happiness and gratitude.

"How...how do I...look?" he asks the room in general not being able to see all his features. He tries to walk but takes far too big of a step and almost falls down. Still disoriented, he rights himself and tests out the motions of his body.

ichigo looks in amazement at the transformation and says.."I want to have greater medical knowledge so that I can create a cure for those poor souls. is this something you do?

Torpor looks to the daemon and says, "Taishoko-sama, when you are done with him I wish to help as well, what I ask is if you can give me more magic power for what you are asking of me. Is that possible?"

Taishoko ponders for a moment and then says to Ichigo, "I can grant you the knowledge you seek."

To Torpor, she says, "Granting magical power is a common wish. It is well within my power."

"Ok ill do it but im not afraid to say im a bit scared but im ready" ((ichigo will atemp to keep his eyes open he's still recording))

(ooc: I'm still a bit confused on how she can grant magic in exchange for essence, unless you are not at or near your maximum magic.  Magic is reduced when you lose essence, point for point, or even fraction of a point.)

(ooc: Nah. I'm not that desperate for power. I'm actually more focused on raising my Ally up to 5 or 6 before raising myself, and keeping us more or less even.)

To Ichigo, Taishoko says, "Stand before me, then state your wish and it will be granted."

(ooc: I considered it, but I like my soul. If I was a combat mage and a ntendee to fill the hole with cyberware I'd do it, but WuJen is focused elsewhere.)

Taishoko smirks a little at Torpor's eagerness but says, "So the contract has been said and so it shall be fulfilled."

Torpor is clearly out of breath as the woman pushes him away. For a moment, it almost looks as though he is about to embrace her again, but he manages to control himself however. After a moment of mentally checking through his abilities, he realizes that despite the loss of ki his existing powers have been unaffected. He does feel a new magical power building in him that he did not have before, one guided by the hand of Tsukumogami, his mentor spirit. Suddenly he finds he can sense the machines around him. He can feel what they are 'feeling'. All the data of the matrix is awash in his head. It is extremely disorienting and Torpor suddenly clutches his head and collapses on the ground as he struggles to comprehend all of it.

((Torpor now is a technomancer with a resonance score equal to his initiate grade. Will give more details on that when everyone's wish making is completed))

Chougou walks over to Torpor and puts his now giant arms ((to him)) on his back asking if he is ok.

Seeing as Chougou has some trouble adjusting to his new limbs, Sun pats him on the shoulder. "Once we got this place set up, I'll help you get used to and get the most out of your new limbs."

Chougou smiles up at Sun as he's comforting Torpor (assuming Torpor isn't getting any worse of course)

"I'd be very interested in taking you up on that offer Sun."

Torpor gross his head in his hands,"The voices and sounds, unhh, ooooooo. Yeah good Chou, unh just to much at once......"
