Setting up home base

WuJen will try and pen the spiders on the ground in with a physical barrier spell.

If possible he will try to make an arcing wall to trap them next to the building, but if they are too far out he will settle for impeding them, hoping they are dumb enough to confuse at least temporarily.

Seeing that they didn't respond to his words he instructs Cinder "Any that make it half way to the fence I want destroyed as quickly as possible. I'd love to study them, and even preserve them if possible, but the safety of the community is paramount. If any escape the premises I want hunted down and destroyed as quickly as possible, but no destruction of property or harm to anyone outside these grounds, Understand? Seek my guidance if some conflicting situation arises."

((that must have been a daring action movie style leap for Chougou...I'm getting him a cocoon as soon as possible ))

Chougou looks out through the duelist's eyes to see when he can open the door for the Steel Lynx to jump out and tries to time it when there are none in front of the door. He opens the door for the Lynx to jump out when it looks good. ((roll?)) He also calls the rotodrone down from the roof to hover over the van if there's still time after those actions.

So ichigo will take a shot at the the closest one to me. Firearms 5, agility 6 Valacan carried out 11 launched of one d6 :

Round 1, phase 2

Chougou jumps into the duelist before giving a command for his lynx to exit the van. Luckily his reflexes are much faster than the spiders while rigged in and he has no problem getting the drone out. ((directing the rotodrone will have to wait till the last phase of this round))

Sun drops down to the 2nd floor a little ahead of Torpor.

Torpor, still running, fires off three rounds at three different spiders and manages to knock them all out.

Ichigo tears through a fourth one with a well-aimed gun shot.

Wujen throws up a physical barrier to corral the last spider while he sends Cinder down there to deal with it in a more permanent fashion. Cinder vanishes from the physical plane then reappears in front of the spider, which is obviously startled by the appearance of a giant flame.

Chougou sends the Rotodrone and the Lynx to each cover one of the spiders that got knocked out, puts then in position prepared to execute them and asks over the comms to Wujen:

"How many did you want to keep alive for study? I can pop two of three right here right now, they've been knocked down but may not be dead. I'm not sure how long they will stay down for though or how we would contain them..."

" Depends on what we find. If these things were being bred here then surely there is some kind of containment meant for them. I've got some feelers out to disern what they are. If rare or unique then they are probably valuable. Possibly we could manage a reward for discovering the danger and management ng it for the city."

"Ideally, for study, as many as possible. Dead ones are ok too, for dissections, but live specimens are always best. The safety of the city is paramount though. If we can't keep them or sell them then likely we will have to destroy them. That would be a shame though."

"Ok so I should switch to narco then?"

"Yes, I'd actually always prefer you to use Narco or other incapacitating munitions except against targets like drones. Death makes for blood feuds and bad enemies. If we don't kill anyone or their pets, should we find ourselves on the wrong side of things our chances of getting off with an apology and atonement is much increased."

"Alright then switching to narcos." And ichigo will swap weapons.

Round 1, final pass

Chougou sends his drones to cover the unconscious spiders while Sun leaps to the ground, unscathed. He manages to make it over to the unconscious spiders just as Cinder lights the last remaining conscious spider on fire with a blast from one of it's arms. The spider curls up and crisps nicely. Of the seven spiders that escaped, 5 are currently unconscious and 2 are dead.

Chougou will send the duelist inside to see what is going on in there.

Torpor looks at the spiders, "How do you restrain a spider? Hey have Carl drop off a coffin or three, that should hold them. Then maybe lock or chain it closed."

Torpor says, "if the others need to feed on the first floor they could have the other two also."

Torpor effects the clip from his pistol as a small arm pops out from under his jacket and he slams in another yellow clip that's on the arm, which then retracts. He places the half used clip into empty slot that the new clip came from.

"They should stay out for a while, right? I am really willing to bet we will find some cages or something as we investigate the upper levels. I don't know what happened here, but it looks like maybe someone broke their security and let their research subjects loose, maybe as a distraction or to get them to abandon the site so data or valubles could be stolen, or maybe just a getaway. Someone here was damn irresponsible... but there is most likely a setup in there to hold these things."

"they should be out for a little while at least, assuming it affects them the same as or close enough to us."

The duelist goes into the first floor. Nothing in particular is happening. The ghouls seem to still be waiting in their office and nothing else has disturbed the area.

Chougou keeps the duelist posted on the first floor and has it set to notify him if the ghouls start to move out. He also sends two flyspys upstairs to the second floor to see what is going on and to see if he can find anything to restrain the spiders with.

"I'm going in to go look for some rope. Does anyone want to sacrifice an item of clothing to restrain them for now? not that I have any idea how to do that, but maybe something sticky would hold their legs together...like a huge amount of bubble gum..."

"Just keep an eye on them for now and let's go see to our other problems and exploration."

WuJen heads back down to the first floor door. He calls down the elevator shaft "we found the elevator key and can get you out. From the looks of things it's clear for now, but you probably dont want to linger"

He waits while the others unlock the elevator, on edge and ready to cast another wall should anything come jumping out of the woodwork.
