Unlike some people, I don't get shot at on a regular basis. "Maybe an internal commlink?" Threepio asks, "Or some other headware like a visualizer or math SPU? Lot of good cyberware out there to buff up that brain of yours." Marie shakes her head and says, "Nah, I'm good. Besides, if I wanted to do something like that, I'd probably go bio, not cyber." Threepio shrugs and says, "Fair enough. I can't help you out with bioware, alright you two entertain yourselves while I get to work on these legs." Threepio then turns to the legs and starts working out the cosmetic damage, a process that would take a couple of hours. | |

Pretti is relieved to hear MK turn down cyber-anything.
“I’m so glad you would never do this to yourself. I’m flattered you like me as I am, but I didn’t choose to lose my legs.” With a sigh, she adds, “Not just my legs.”
She holds a hand out toward MK.
“I’m glad you came. I’m not sure what to do for entertainment, though.” She tucks her chin to look at her legless body. “Guess we can rule out dancing.”

The damage isn't extensive, but Threepio puts a lot of attention to detail and wants to make sure that every ding is polished out to perfection. It takes about two hours for him to complete his work. | |

In the game, Pretti says, “Let’s take a leviathan. All that oxygen tank makes me wanna play an underwater level.”
Despite what critics say about ‘female armor,’ Pretti picks armor that is basically a miniskirt with leg-warmers and a sweater. It actually has decent defense because it’s made from a wooly-mammoth-based creature. But what Pretti really likes is that her avatar has fleshy legs. Pretti misses that part of herself.
MK is what makes this phase of her life better than before.
((I imagine MK would pick one of the MH armors that looks like something Sami’s Aran would wear in Metroid.))

| Marie shows up with some high end armor with ridiculously oversized weapons. Her gear's clearly way too much for the task at hand, making her job mostly about keeping Pretti alive for it to be fun rather than absolutely dominating the battle. The pair have a good time destroying leviathan and various other oversized monsters for a couple of hours until the doc can finish up his work. He then sends a message to Pretti, alerting her that he's ready to put the legs back on. |  |

Pretti builds a new armor suit which has 450 less DEF than MK’s, as opposed to her first one that was less by 500 DEF.
She has a good time, even though cats have to rush her unconscious huntress back to base camp once or twice in some hunts.
“Ohhhh, playtime’s over,” she says to Marie. And to the doc: “Ready!”
