The voice says, "You want the spikes, the shock or what? You know what? Forget it. Just slot some cred into the reader on the counter. The more you give me, the happier I'll be. The happier I am, the nicer the armor you end up with. Let's just say, when it comes to personal protection, it pays to make me really happy."

Getting rather nervous, as even to him, this is suspicious, Sun ponders a moment. Keeping in mind this is the address Kamogawa gave, he takes a dare and slots 20K Nuyen. "I hope this will make both of us reallyhappy"

The voice behind the counter says, "This makes me happy. Stand with your hands out in the center of the room."

Sun, a bit scared he'd get a gun placed against the back of his head, does as he's asked and stretches his arms wide, visibly nervous and trying to keep an eye on all parts of the room.

A spirit appears out of nowhere and begins measuring Sun's body. He takes measurements of the arms, chest, head, inseam, waist, etc, then poofs out of existence. The voice behind the counter says, "Your order will be delivered to you when it is complete. You may go."

Sam orders the R3 alphaware datajack plus and arranges to have it installed.

He also contacts Akina and gives her a heads up that he's in the market for some more programs: Guard, Hammer, Stealth, Crash, and an R6 agent. He asks if she can get them for him the next time he's over there training with her.

Programs are 250 * 4 = 1,000
Assuming 15% commission for Akina, 13,000 * 1.15 = 14,950.

So, 14,950 for Akina + 12,600 to Amazon = 27,550.))

Sam also pays some bills before they come due.

That's 12,416+27,550 = 39,966. That leaves Sam with 10,034 left of the peaches profit.))

Bewildered, Sun stumbles out of the shop and makes his way out of the alleyways. He decides to move on to looking for the leylines, so he goes to the local metro station and looks at the map there to see what all is at the spot Harumi mentioned.

Sun tries to think of where Harumi mentioned the ley lines were and then realizes she only said they went through the city somewhere. Given that the city takes up a rather large mountain, that alone is not terribly helpful. The fact that he is unable to see the astral plane makes it even more difficult of a prospect. He is going to have to speak with someone who is more educated on the subject than he. In the very least, someone who is more in tune with the astral world.

Sam gets a message back from Akina:
>>>>> Not a problem B-man. I can get you those in a couple of days tops. Tell ya what. I'll even knock off the finder's fee if you take me out on a date.

Coincidentally, when Sam checks his messages, he notices he has an unopened one from Hanako. Judging by the timestamp, it looks like it was delayed a few hours by the currently unreliable matrix:

Grabbing his commlink, Sun calls WuJen. He holds the comm to his ear and hears: "SSSKKKRRRREEEEEWUUUYEEEWUUUYEEEWUUUUUUUUU" He quickly hangs up, rubs his ear that hurts from the noise and tries again.

WuJen answers his Comlink to talk to Sun. After a short garbled conversation he says "We have got to get that commlink fixed...but I got it. I'm going to be a little busy myself for a while, I'm going on a trip to meet up with Tatsuo's family, but I'll send you some help in just a moment."

After WuJen closes the call he reaches deep into the earth to call up a respectable spirit to aid in finding the Mana Lines that Sun is looking for.

Wujen 2 Sun
A horse-shaped clod of dirt appears before Wujen, referring to itself as "Silty". It nods at Wujen's request and appears before Sun, aiding him in his quest for leylines. "There is a ley line going through this area," it says, "I do not know where it originates, but we can follow it to its end, if you wish. I can't say how long that will take until we get there though."

The Spirit appears, and Wujen greets it, "Good afternoon Silty, I have simple request of you, well within your power.  My friend cannot see the Astral Realm, and seeks a place rich in Dragon Lines to plant some special seeds he is carrying.  I will take you to him and introduce you.  Your task will be to assist him in whatever way he needs to find what he seeks until your time is done or he says you are free to go.  Please come with me.."

WuJen leaves his body to meet with Sun and introduce him to the elemental.  "Sun, this is Silty.  He's been told to help you however he can to find the sort of place you are looking for, but he is only here until sunset at the latest.  I'd suggest 2 places---first, at the temple where they grow the peaches, the priests there might appreciate the offering.  Talk to Kireina Yuumei (I think it's the same temple as the contact), she might be able to set something up.  I haven't really looked, but I believe there are some strong lines around the community center as well"

Sun thanks WuJen. He then turns to the horse earth spirit. "Pleased to meet you, Silty!" and hops on its back. "Let's check both places out, closest one first."

Returning to his room at the community center, he calls Little dragon to him.

"I think we should take a trip to your home. Theres some important business I have there, and I cannot get past the Threshold on my own just yet. Up for a trip to see your parents? Theres an important question I have to ask of your Father. You should probably think about what kind of ring you want to wear as well, I have a feeling it will come up pretty soon." WuJen says with a grin

Sam replies to Akina:

Wujen and Little Dragon

Little Dragon slaps Wujen across the face before giving him a big kiss on the lips. "It's about time, you dummy," she says as she holds him close for a moment. Her eyes then suddenly go wide, "Oh shit. You're meeting my parents! What the hell will they think? I'll need to find a way for us to GET there of course. I know a guy who owes me a favor. Maybe he'll help us out. I have to get ready! YOU have to get ready. Stop slouching and get a hair cut. You have to be presentable! AAAAH!" She suddenly vanishes from the physical plane, apparently off to make preparations for the coming trip.

As Sam sends off the messages, he gets a sudden feeling of foreboding. Or perhaps it was just indigestion. He ignores it. It does not take long for a message to arrive from each of the girls. The first is from Akina, which reads:

The second is from Hanako which reads:

Chougou comes to with his mind still full of the weird nightmares he had had when he was unconscious, but even those were preferable to the trauma he experienced of watching his own body be eviscerated through the eyes of his drones.

The memory plays through his thoughts whenever there is moment that he isn't thinking, so he tries to keep thinking. He wants to get to work on a new machine and tries to move, gradually testing his ability to make noise while readjusting to his center of balance as he tries to find out who else is around. He's pretty sure he's at the Community Center, but is still a bit dazed.
