Setting up home base

(ooc: Yeah, they are supposed to like me, but apparently Little Dragon keeps chasing them off or something.)

WuJen assesses the Spirit to see if it's capable of casting illusions.  The whole point of calling the other one was to have backup and the ability to add complexity to the planned scenes.  Honestly he's happy to have whatever help it can offer... it's been a long day.

Once we scout through the area and plan the finer details of the chase, splat and noshing of the girl by feral ghouls, WuJen directs everyone through a couple of test runs and then tries out the plan for real.

Assensing doesn't really give Wujen any idea about the spirit's spellcasting capabilities, but when asked, the spirit nods affirmative. Though it is unable to speak, it seems to be able to understand speech at least. ((it's a force 3 spirit of man which is capable of casting the spell))

Wujen manages to make a convincing enough illusion. It is not perfect, but should pass all but the most detailed of scrutiny. For the cops that just want to see Roku out of their hair, it is probably enough. The spell is quite exhausting on Wujen though and another spell like that could knock him out...

"Ghouls fed, Demon departed, Death faked, Spiders Caged... spider lady in the wind, we will see how that goes if it comes up again.  Someone take me home, I'm going to need a nap after all this."

Chougou offers Wujen and anyone else who needs it a ride home.

Torpor takes the ride home, "Thanks, chummer." Then claps Chougou onthe back.

"I'll take that ride aswell" ichigo looks at wujen..."Hey wujen when you wake up we need to have a talk"

"Ok, but if it's one second before I get a solid 8 hours sleep I'm feeding you to Tatsuo in small pieces. It has been a long day and the week has been rough."

With the video complete, team A goes and delivers it to the police. The commissioner takes a look at the video and thanks them for their work, saying, "There is clearly nothing you could have done. It seems we will have to do a crackdown on the local ghoul community or a similar fate could happen to just about anyone. I am sure our citizens will feel safer once we've done a quick purging of the unclean."

The team is paid and sent on their way after being told that there is always a wall of bounties to be collected and that they are welcome to browse through it any time. Once paid and well away from the police, Tetsu says he will leave with Rokudenashiko to will protect her for the time being and that he will let you all know when the time is right for a strike on Cowboy HQ. It seems that he has a personal vested interest in making the run as well.

With everyone now free from work, you return to your homes for a good night's rest. The next few days are spent working on the new HQ. With the power turned on and most of the dangers taken care of, things are a lot less creepy. There are some leftover security systems (which you can either remove and sell, or get one of the hackers to reprogram). There are also some damages from the fire, the costs of which can easily be covered by selling off some of the unneeded equipment and commlinks that you've found throughout the building. It shouldn't take more than about 5 days to get the place up and running if everyone pitches in to do their part.


((I'll be posting rewards for Team A pretty soon. Everyone take some time to figure out what you are doing with your karma/money and update your sheets. I'm a little busy for the next week or two because of Thanksgiving and finals so we'll be mostly doing slice of life/personal RP stuff until probably early December. I'll be announcing the next set of runs then. You will have about a week and a half of game time to get done whatever you want to get done before back to work. Once our next run is complete, lifestyles will be due for everyone, so make sure you save enough money for that. Just as an FYI, now that everyone is more or less comfortable with the world, the run difficulties will be going up as well as the karma/nuyen payouts. I'll also be pulling back on the hints so get ready for that. However, if you get really really stuck someplace, I'll let you spend an edge to get a hint))

(ooc: hmm. Glad to hear of bigger rewards. Little Dragon needs unholy crap-tons of karma. Still, higher difficulty means I will either sail through unscathed or explode my own head. Somehow.)

((once the base is up and running, I would let to prepare to start/form the initiate group. How long does it take to form the group? And what is our slice of the cost for the building this month or will that be the lifestyle charge next month? ( Is it the number I have written down? Need to know how many are pitching in so we can Adjust cost)
I obviously pitch in with the clean up, I'm thinking some of the security measures we may want to keep. Maybe two of those cages in one of the shops in case we need to detain something. The backup power in the housing may also come in handy. Sell of the extra cages. Keep the person sized one and one of the smaller ones.))

I think Sam probably stayed in the limo with Roku at Crazy Carl's, so I'm not sure when the first time he probably actually saw Chougou's new body is. But, whenever that happened (probably when they were doing the fake Roku death?):

Sam glances up at Chougou as they approach, and then he directs his gaze back to the floor where he generally keeps it. But, something seemed off. Just a little nagging feeling that when he saw Chougou, something was different. Sam glances back up at Chougou again, but finds that he's looking at some guy's waist. He directs his gaze further upwards, and sees Chougou's face. Just higher than it ought to be.

"Chougou?" He asks, astonished. "What happened. To you?" Sam's mind puts a few things together: Chougou's previous message to him worrying about dying, and the demon that was eating souls for wishes.
"Did you... did you sell your soul? For a new body?"

"Well, you look. Uh. You look great, buddy!" Sam says, and he screws up his face into an approximation of a smile. His mouth is definitely smiling, but it doesn't reach up to his eyes, making it more creepy than it's, intended, friendly affect. He also gives a big thumbs up.
