Sam is well over an hour into his work, but feels confident he is getting close to wrapping up the job as he cleans up the club's security tapes. ((next check))

It is close to an hour and a half of work when Sam disconnects from the matrix, confident that he has done what he can for now. The private businesses on the road still have their footage unchanged, but hopefully any police checking footage of the area won't think to check them.

Nobunaka calls up Sam on his commlink, "Yeah, but where did you guys regroup? I'm sitting here and Akane wasn't giving me anything."

Comm to Nobu (presumably while Sam was hacking the cameras): "Yeah, sorry about that. Sato was knocked out from the club IC, so I got him home to sleep it off and heal up some. And I'm going to have to log off in a minute to fix the damage my deck took. But, I managed to get a data bomb tracker on Akane's deck. So, if I get a hit on that I'll let you know. Until then, get home and get some sleep, I guess."

"Copy all. Let me know when we're making our move" Nobu says while hailing a cab to take him home.

A cab arrives to take Nobunaka home. It costs him 20 nuyen, but is otherwise an uneventful trip.

(While Sam is doing his thing, We would be figuring out how to get rid of the body).

"Sam and Sato I... I'm in a bind here, and don't know how to get rid of this body without getting caught. You said you have a plan? I'll definitely owe you one if you can help me get out of this mess. We need to move quickly before someone discovers what happened."

Was there a record of the girl's credstick having checked in to the hotel? If so, Sam will edit the record to some political opponent of Auntie Muku's.

Sato looks Tetsu in the eye with a serious expression "I got you covered Tetsu, but you need to get out of sight. Sam, can you see from the Matrix if there is a back way out of this place?"

Sato borrows Sam's commlink to call Carl ((his was bricked at the club))  

"Hey Carl...I have a...business opportunity for you.  We have some...coffin accessories...that we'd like to arrange for pickup."

Sam sends Sato a copy of the hotel floor plan, and a Google maps satellite image of the immediate area

The girl's credstick was a certified one with no money on it (effectively an empty wallet with no ID). It seems that she was expecting Tetsu to pay on the way out. Sam has no problem looping the footage to cover your exit. As the hotel is specifically arranged to avoid you meeting guests or staff, it is pretty easy to go around without being physically seen. There is no back exit to take, but the main one doesn't get a lot of foot traffic, again by design.

Meanwhile Carl answers the call and says, "Is that so? What's the address?"

We need a plan for cleaning up, too. Carl will pick up the body, but we need to clean the crime scene. That doesn't seem like part of Carl's service?
Sam's got an hour and a half of scrubbing video, so scrubbing floors is going to have to be on the others.

Sato gingerly lifts up a corner of the stained tatami mat to see what is below it.  

"Yes Carl, can this pickup be arranged at xxx.yyy?" ((he sends the GPS coordinates from Sam's map for the closest manhole cover)).

((He is thinking if it is relatively non-porous, they could get rid of the mat to clean more easily...possibly subbing in another.))

Lifting the tatami requires prying it up with some kind of tool, but it isn't fastened there in any way, it is simply snug with the other tatami mats that make up the floor and so Sato is able to pry them up using something handy. There is more blood and bare wood below. Luckily tatami in general is made to be relatively easily replaced every few years. But it is too late to be shopping for tatami and the hotel staff may grow suspicious if the room remains occupied for an overly long period of time, not to mention people may notice if you start coming in and out of the hotel with the mats in tow (they are fairly large). The best you could hope to manage is to perhaps bleach out the blood stains and hope that someday when they get around to replacing the tatami that it will have been so far from now that any discovery of blood that you may have missed will be impossible to track down to a particular date and any evidence of your presence won't be practical to track down. It is now just a matter of getting some bleach and brushes and scrubbing as hard as you can.

Crazy Carl says, "Oooh that's rich folk territory. I can't go there personally, too much security for my tastes. But tell you what, I can send a vehicle. There will be a big red button on the autonav touch screen that says 'return to sender' on it. Load up the vehicle and push that button, then the vehicle will take care of the rest. Make sure there aren't any cameras or surveillance drones watching you while you do it, otherwise the button will not appear and you'll be on your own. Got it?"

Sam jacks out of VR after his hour and a half marathon video editing session, excited to see all the progress that Sato and Tetsu have made in cleaning up this crime scene in the intervening hour and a half.  
He is distressed to see the room exactly as it was when he started editing footage, except for Sato standing in the corner with his thumb literally up his ass and Tetsu, wracked with indecision, eyes darting between Sam and Sato waiting for one of them to do something. Seems, to Sam, like an inopportune time to be doing that.
He can hear Sato's commlink making the sound that it makes when you don't hang up the receiver after the person on the other end of the line has hung up with you. That sound hasn't existed for nearly 1000 years at this point, but that's how long it's been since Crazy Carl hung up on Sato out of frustration.
