"Are those really peaches?" Sam asks, mystified. "I heard a legend that they came from a can. From a factory. Downtown." ((Look out!))

((The coffin definitely can't fit in the freezer or vice versa. The dimensions of the freezer are definitely on the site. The dimensions of the coffins aren't but you know a coffin is designed for a person to lay flat, the freezer can't fit a person laying flat, they need to bend their legs. As for the plot point, you can if you want to get the coffin tonight instead of waiting until morning to have it shipped to you Smile ))

"Get a Coffin.  See if there are any that are made of something more sturdy than wood.  I just want to make sure it does not get accidently smashed before we can use it."

"As for a net or whatever, we should just lure it out in the open and slap it with the Ofuda.  I can do it with a Magic Fingers spell, if no one can safely get close, or perhaps have a spirt do it. I don't think spirits are in the same kind of danger from this thing, though it's probably worth checking through the research to find out."

"What I'm wondering about... The jiangshi is attracted to strong qi and wants to eat those," Sun says.

He whirls his chopsticks around, palming the business end and smacks a guest on the hand, who promptly retracts it from the peaches.

"From what you told us, you wrestled with it, it tossed you aside like it was nothing, but didn't eat your qi. I don't understand how you managed to fight and touch thw jiangshi while not losing your qi."

He switches his chopsticks right way back and gobbles some noodles. "And yeah, they're real peaches. The peachtree lady from the farm gave them to us. We can eat them, maybe sell them, or perhaps some spirits may be willing to help out in return for them."

"Actually, if it's so afraid of us, maybe we don't have to fight it. Maybe we can just scare it along a path, with firecrackers and flashy red colors, right into a container. We can ask Sam's contact at that university, the one who wants to study the thing. Sounds like she'd be thrilled to study its attack patterns while we make sure it doesn't reach her?"

You all hop into the van and head on down to Crazy Carl's Used Coffins Emporium. The drive is fairly quick and you arrive at a city building that looks like someone had more neon signs than they knew what to do with. You didn't even know people still used neon signs, to be honest. Garish colors flash in a jerky animation of what looks to be a cowboy with a scarf around its face wrangling a coffin with a lasso. Locals seem to instinctively avoid the place, if for no other reason than it looks tacky as hell. The AR in your commlinks light up with ads from the place bombarding you with loud popups of what appears to be the same cowboy jumping around coffins and proclaiming that he is so crazy, he is practically giving them away in a stereotypically foreign accent. The flashing neon sign in the window proclaims that the place is open.

((YES!!  I'm tempted to have Sato ask if there's a Berwick suit in Carl's selection of "Lightly Used Formal Clothing" but I like the joke too much to spoil it with game mechanic benefits...my favorite part of Shadowrun is the mix of dark topics (e.g. read up on what actually happened inside Renraku Arcology) and silly stuff like NERPS!))

Sato enters the Emporium with WuJen in tow, looking for a sturdy coffin with 6 inscribable sides (as recommended, we check all 6 sides, even the bottom!) and Torpor (to evaluate which could be fitted for a sturdy lock).

Distracted by his focus on the task at hand, he has let his cigarette hang out of the corner of his mouth. It trails a thin plume of smoke as he strides quickly through the aisles, eyes darting about, pausing briefly to consult with his two colleagues in low voices.

The automatic doors slide away revealing a dirty, unfinished interior with bare concrete walls that makes the place seem as though the proprietor spent all his startup money on advertising and forgot that he needed an actual place of business to work from. The room is lined with coffins that have some scuffs and dirt stains, having obviously been dug up at some point. They have been cleaned, but clearly whoever did it was not an expert at it. Some of them are open for display with lining still in tact, but some suspicious stains in them.

At the center of it all is Crazy Carl, dressed exactly as his ad persona: 10 gallon cowboy hat, red scarf around his face, chaps, spurs and even a lasso tied at his hip. He immediately approaches you and begins his spiel, "Hello there fine folks! Welcome to Crazy Carl's Used Coffins Emporium! I am the one and only Crazy Carl himself! Yeeehaw! What kind of gently used coffin can I introduce you fine folks in, eh? We got big coffins, small coffins and everywhere in between coffins! I guarantee you won't find a cheaper coffin in the whole city, and every coffin comes with a money back guarantee! If yer coffin don't do everything a coffin should do, you get yer money back! No questions asked!

"So what can I interest you fine folks in tonight?"

Sato looks Carl directly in the eye, takes a puff of his cigarette and in a nonchalant voice says “we’re looking for a midrange model, sturdy, light, with comfortable carrying handles for a long procession, preferably with provision for a lock on the outside.  We will pay via certified credstick.”
