There's no shortage of video game tournaments online. Most offer small cash prizes like a 10 to 50 nuyen gift card to Save Mart for the winner, though there's a handful that pay out slightly larger amounts. They are all happy to win, but not really something that one supports themselves on, particularly given the time it takes to complete a typical tournament. There are a few bigger, international tournaments in a couple of weeks, but the competition is much tighter. Success is far from assured.
