Mission 5a - i-Sexbot

Emiko nods in agreement and pushes ahead of Sam and Tetsu, looking to get to the corner first. She again activates her chameleon skin, hoping to not be seen and looking for incoming danger.

Sneaking: 6 hits

Sam stops running and glances behind them, worried at how much the Yakuza security is catching up to them.
Sam is also suspicious about the response time. He remembers a time, not that long ago, when he was confronted with Yakuza pretending to be police.
With that in mind, he looks to see how the Yakuza chasing them react to these supposed police.(3 hits)
He also takes a look at the police themselves, to see if he notices anything about them that is out of place and would tend to corroborate his suspicion that these are not real police.(3 hits)

Emiko’s heart skips a beat and all the air is knocked out of her. She freezes, not quite sure if the two officers can see her. Within a second, there is pounding in her chest from an elevated heartbeat and Emiko hopes the officers can’t hear it. She slowly raises her hands and begins to wonder if they are in fact officers.

Perception: 2 hits

"They are not real," Sam says. "Keep going!"
He continues running in the originally planned path, plowing through the police standing in the way.

Emiko hears “keep going” and doesn’t waste another moment thinking about it. She puts her arms back down and begins to sprint behind Tetsu. She maintains her chameleon skin.

Reaction + agility: 3 hits

Sam, still huffing and puffing bringing up the rear calls out to Tetsu: "Tetsu. Whare are you stopping? They are not real. Keep going!"

Emiko lands on her feet, stunned at Tetsu’s unexpected stop, and stops herself. Emiko also puts her hands up.

Emiko remains motionless except to whisper to Tetsu, "I hope you have a plan." She watches the officers and is still unsure if they see her but she is not ready to turn off the chameleon skin.

Sam keeps running.
"Keep going!" He calls to Tetsu, and Emiko if he can see her. "They are an illusion!"

“Illusion,” Emiko thinks. “No. No? Maybe?” Emiko looks at Tetsu just standing there and she starts to believe Sam. “Crap! I hope you’re right,” she says to herself.

Emiko starts to perceive in the astral plane, looking to see if the officers are there.

Emiko stops perceiving in the astral plane and says, “Tetsu, you’re going to have to trust me; Sam is right and the police are only an illusion. Run!”

Emiko takes off running again.

Negotiation: 1 hit

Sam runs through the illusion of the police as he rounds the corner.

Emiko pleads, “Tetsu, what are you doing? We’re friends. There is an illusion that’s messing with your mind!”

Emiko tries to put some space between her and the axe wielding dwarf.

Sam continues running towards the car.

Emiko continues to yell at Tetsu, “what are you doing? I’m with you, snap out of it!” She then tries to aim the taser at Tetsu, hoping to shock him back to reality.

“I’m really sorry about this!”

Taser: 2 hits

Sam is suspicious as to whether this van is actually Tammy, or just another illusion.
"Tammy, what are you doing?" Sam says to Tammy over the open comm channel, if there is one. Alternatively, he sends that message to Tammy in text form.
He looks in matrix space to try to find Tammy's icon, to verify that is her van. (5 hits)

Sam hits the deck.
