Mission 4B - An Eye Claimed

Fuchougou checks his commlink maps to see where they are and if he can trace a path for them to follow as well.

"There is no safe path out of the mountain at this time. The flooding is too extensive. It was not safe here before, of course, but the water has made it a death trap to humans. Many have died down here and others are dying. I can guide you out, but danger is to be expected down here. I do hope you know how to swim as it will be required of you. Follow me." Sadako then slips beneath the murky water and swims down the tunnel, knocking aside corpses as she does.

Meanwhile Fuchougou takes a look at the maps. Unfortunately the tunnels beneath the mountain are a massive maze and, though he has a map, he also needs some frame of reference to get an idea of where on the map you all happen to be. (( if you have some skill like navigation or whatever that might be useful reading the map and orienting yourself to it, make your check))

Is swimming a skill that is grouped together with so something ?Ichigo says "well it's time to go swimming boys"

"Does anyone have any rope? I imagine it will be dark and we should tie ourselves together in some fashion."

Fuchougou looks for shoelaces on his and the others feet. He will also take his clothes off to his underoos to reduce drag and so that he can dry quicker, bundling them up as tightly as possible and putting them in his bag. If the floor isn't unbearable for bare feet he will take his shoes off too before they go swimming.

"I don't have any rope but I do have plastic restraints, i dont know how useful these will be but I have them if we need them" (( oh I have a gas mask with 2 air tanks refills will that help me any?))

Fuchougou will try to orient himself with only the shape of the room that they are in...

Despite having very little information to go on other than a possibly outdated map and some gps info, Fuchougou easily figures out where you are on the map and comes up with a route that should get you out provided that it is still there to take. For now, it appears that heading through the water is the only way to go.

Fuchougou follows Sadako under water telling Wujen and Ichigo that he will try to comm them from the other side.

This stretch of tunnel appears to be relatively short as it dips down and then comes back up into another pocket of air. Fuchougou easily makes his way through the water and surfaces for air. While the previous area was lit by whatever was powering the various death trap puzzle rooms, the area Fuchougou surfaces in is pitch black. He can see absolutely nothing as he trudges along the rough rocky ground. The tunnel's ground so far isn't sharp, but it is not smooth either, making it uncomfortable to walk barefoot, but not dangerous.

I'll activate my night vision so I can see when it gets really dark

WuJen follows along gamely, using the flashlight function of his commlink and low light vision, along with occasional looks around in astral space. He keeps a hand on his pistol, knowing devil rats or worse may be nearby.

The astral plane reveals nothing alive that you aren't expecting to be there, but shining some light on the room reveals 4 humanoid drones with blades for arms. As the light hits them, they roar to life. The garbled voice from before issues forth from one of them, "You weren't supposed to survive, Chougou. But then, neither was I. Only one of us will be leaving these tunnels alive. A hint for you, it is not going to be you. I've no particular desire to kill your friends though, so I will give them a one time deal. I hope you two are listening. Kill Chougou and I will ensure you leave this place alive. Or don't and die with him here. Your choice."

The four drones move into a fighting stance, apparently ready to kill whoever gets in their way.

He then casts Physical Barrier to contain the drones.

Ichigo will take a few steps away from the action then draw his ares light 75 and fire at the closets one to him.

Round 1, pass 1

The bladed drones charge forth, one at each of you, including Sadako. The first two drones go after Fuchougo and Ichigo. The blade arm sinks into Fuchougou's shoulder, sending blood dripping down his body. ((2P)) Ichigo manages to avoid the blade coming at him. A third drone attempts to uselessly stab at Sadako. It misses and gets punched for its trouble. There is a brief burst of sparks, then a puff of smoke and the drone falls to the ground, wrecked. The last one charges at Wujen and swings at his head, but he manages to roll back and avoid the attack.

Fuchougou gives an order to his drone, which opens fire, missing entirely.

Meanwhile Wujen throws up a wall of force sealing in 2 of the drones with Sadako while Ichigo's manages to avoid capture. Not that it matters much because ichigo opens fire on his drone and blows it up.

Fuchougou tells his drone to attack again, aiming at the one closest to him as he moves out of the way to some sort of safety if it's available.

The bullets from Fuchougou's drone are slowed by the barrier, but pass through, striking one of the drones inside. The drone is damaged, but less so than it otherwise would have been.

The two drones within the bubble turn at Sadako and swing uselessly at her. She responds by ripping the cpu out of the remaining undamaged one. It collapses into a useless wreck.

Wujen sits back and lets Sadako do her thing as Ichigo fires into the bubble. The bubble remains up but is damaged from all the gunfire. His shot finishes off the last drone.

With the combat concluded, Sadako says, "My services to you are completed," and disappears. Afterwards silence sets back in and you are all once again alone in a dark cave, illuminated only by the lights on your commlinks. There are about three different paths leading out of the area you've entered, each leading into water again. From the maps you have, you're pretty sure the left one is the quickest path out of the mountain, but there is still a very long slog of walking and swimming left before you will see daylight.
