3B - One flew over the cuckoo hut

Wandering back to the group, Sun asks WuJen: "Hey, mr. Skully here said the eyes of these skulls are magical. Can you see what's special about them? It seems like they're just random things, either gems or vision-related items, propped into their eye sockets."

Looking back at the skull, Sun apologizes. "Sorry, mister. I actually haven't even asked your name. How may we call you?"

The skull says, "Scully. Herbert Scully of the Hertford Scullys. The irony of my current predicament is not lost on me."

"Pleased to meet you, mr. Scully. I'm Sun. I'd shake your hand, but... You know..." Sun gives the skull a slight bow, instead. "It seems your friends here all have random items as eyes. What makes these so special?"

Mr Scully says, "Didn't I just tell you? They aren't random items. They're all eyes, they are. Maybe not the fleshy kind that you probably have, but eyes none the less."

Ichigo will look around to if there's anything trying to sneak up on us.

Ichigo can easily see that no one is sneaking up on the group. The dense thorn bushes surrounding you would make it pretty impossible for anything larger than a hamster to sneak up on you without getting noticed unless it was flying, and flying things have a hard time hiding.

"Ok Scully, who gets in? I mean obviously Baba Yaga doesn't use this entrance, she flies in and out. But here you are. We have friends inside, and I'd like very much to visit them."

Scully says, "Whoever Baba Yaga says can come in. Right now I have a standing list of exactly one person and unless you are him, I'm not supposed to let you in."

"And who may he be scully?"

Scully says, "Edwin Ankev. I am under strict orders that if he ever shows up, I'm to let him in."

"Who is Edwin Ankev?"
If Skully doesn't give a satisfactory answer, Sam does a matrix search for Edwin Ankev. If Skully does give a satisfactory answer, ignore the roll. Sam likes having access to the matrix out here, but using it is slow and annoying to him.

Scully says, "No idea, I've never met the guy. But Baba Yaga's had an open invitation for him since before I started this job."

A matrix search turns up no one important named Edwin Ankev, but Ankev itself has tons of hits. Ankev Industries is one of the top ten biggest megacorporations in the world. The president is also the king of Tramilaine, and has been for at least 1,000 years. He is referred to as "Lord Ankev". There is no known record of his full name. He is known to be a lich and his country is primarily populated by the undead. His megacorporation deals with life extension magic and technologies such as pharmaceuticals, some cyber and bioware, potions, some experimental tech stuff involving uploading one's consciousness to the matrix or drones, and necromancy.

"If we give you eyes, will you let us in?"

Scully says, "Do you have eyes? I suppose if you do I might be bribed... I might even give you the password for the hut."

"Yes," Sam lies. "I always have an extra set of eyes."
Sam looks around on the ground around him for a couple stones of approximately the right size. He picks them up and places them in the Scully's empty sockets.

Scully shakes a little, rattling the stones in his eye sockets but seems disappointed. He says, "I don't know what you just put in my head, but they aren't eyes."

"If i had the proper supplies I could possibly build and or repair a set of eyes. But i dont that kind of stuff with me. Sorry scully!"

"What would make these real eyes to you?"

"Does anyone have a Sharpie?"

Scully says, "I don't know. I'm not a witch. I do know that whatever you dropped in my eye sockets isn't it."

" I might could manage it, though my skill at enchanting is that of an infant, especially compared to Baba Yaga's. I will try if you want."

Sun's eyes sparkle at hearing WuJen helping out with making eyes for poor old Scully. He puts his hand on WuJen's shoulder, nods with a firm expression on his face, and says: "I believe in you! Don't believe in yourself. Believe in me who believes in you!"
