    Sam sets his deck to run silent, and turns the wireless on, and enters the host. He instructs Lycos and Jeeves to destroy the camera in the lab.

    Kitaro steps into the vault.
    "Thank you mister Dashou!"
    He then uses his magic sense to determine if there are any active magical items in the vault.
    The only thing that seems to be magical is a strange looking egg.
    Kitaro hasn't a clue what kind of creature it might belong too, but he finds it intriguing and he's sure that it's worth a lot of money for the right buyer.

    "We should be able to carry all this stuff out without a problem people. Just this egg here will be a bit of a problem. But I think I have a solution for that."
    Kitaro then calls up the spirit he summoned before entering the building and explains that he wants to take the egg outside.
    He asks the spirit to destroy any astral barriers that prevent him from doing so.

    Kitaro then grabs a bucket from the cart puts some cleaning rags in it and carefully places the egg in the bucket.

    Seeing that Sam is back in the matrix to take out the cameras, she follows to help. She changes her deck to A8 F6 D4 S2 and jacks in.  When Sam explains that his deck is fried and she should take out the cameras, she sends her paper minions to attack.

    The spirit nods and begins smashing into the astral barriers on the astral plane. It is a difficult process as the barriers naturally regenerate very quickly, requiring some fast and hard hitting to bash it down before it is restored entirely. It takes a few tries, but the spirit eventually manages to batter down the barriers after about a minute of trying. By the time that's done, everything is carefully looted and ready to go thanks to Torpor, Sun and Emiko.

    Meanwhile in the matrix, Sam has a little trouble at first but then totally takes out the camera to the lab. The Samurai and his ninja followers converge on Sam who jacks out, but not before getting hit by a bolt of ice that weakens his firewall. After taking a breather he turns his wireless back on and tries to hack the camera again. Unfortunately he has too hard a time with it and ends up frying his cyberdeck. Luckily he is in AR mode so he suffers no dumpshock from the encounter.

    Emiko sees the difficulty he's having and leaves the looting to the others as she switches on her deck to try and finish the job. She destroys the camera and gets hit by both the yellow and blue ninjas. Luckily since she is in AR the yellow ninja has no effect on her. The blue ninja lowers her firewall though. ((firewall down by 3 until you reboot the system)) She then disables her wireless to avoid further retaliation on the matrix.

    Emiko shivers from her latest attempt, takes a deep breath to calm her nerves, turns back on her WiFi and jacks back in for another attack. Once more her origami birds fly in to do damage.

    Popping back into the matrix, Emiko quickly strikes at the camera in the lobby, hitting it successfully with the birds and wrecking it entirely.

    The samurai and his ninja army are alerted by this and converge on Emiko. She is struck by the yellow ninja, but luckily is in AR so the link locking is ineffective. She is also struck by the blue ninja, which opens up new vulnerabilities in her firewall defenses ((another 3 lost to your firewall, 6 total)). The smoking ninja misses entirely while the samurai calls forth a green ninja. Luckily said green ninja doesn't get the chance to react before Emiko disables her wireless connection.

    After the spirit is done destroying the barriers, Kitaro places the bucket with the egg on the cart.
    He then helps the others with placing the rest of the vault's contents on the cart aswell.

    She then offers help in getting the supplies packed while hoping the group decides to leave soon.

    Kitaro suggests checking the elevators to see if they've been tampered with and Emiko volunteers to do it. She turns back on her WiFi, jacks back in to the matrix, and looks for the files for the elevators, running silently.

    A quick search of the host reveals the elevator has been shut down. The samurai appears to be monitoring it's controls closely. While she could get it turned back on, she's pretty sure that it will just get shut down again, possibly with everyone stuck in it, if something is not done about the samurai first.

    Emiko jacks out and reports to the group.

    "Guys, we've got a problem. The elevators are shut down and, even if I can turn them back on, they'll just be shut down again. The matrix security is on high alert. Sam, it's the samurai and I'm sure I can't handle it alone. Any suggestions on how we get our phones back and get out of this place?"

    After a few seconds of pondering he says.
    "Do they have ... you know ... stairs ?"

    A few more seconds pass and Kitaro shrugs
    "You know, we can always create our own exit and I can levitate us down. I'm not sure I can lift everyone in a single go though. And that still leaves of the problem of the phones."

    Kitaro says.
    "I'm pretty sure I saw some stairs on the way in."
    He pushes the cart towards the elevator and finds the stairs next to it.
    "Alright guys, I'm gonna levitate this cart down the stairs you guys keep me safe ok. Maybe someone should go in front to scout?"
    Kitaro then casts the levitate spell on the cart and begins to lower it down the stairs. He follow right behind the cart himself.

    "Guys, I'll stand next to the cart. Just in case the spell gets interrupted, I'll try to stop the cart from crashing down the stairs." Emiko moves next to the cart, arms out and ready to try and stop the cart should it stop levitating.

    The cart slowly floats down the emergency stairs. Given the hurry you are in, it feels like an eternity, but is in fact it only about a minute before you've made it to the ground floor. The door is unlocked (and is in fact designed to be unlockable from your side as it is an emergency exit), however it does not open. A peek through the small window in the door reveals that a large desk has been pushed in front of it in an attempt to slow you all down. You also catch a glimpse of the front desk guard hiding behind another desk for cover with a gun aimed at the door. As he sees your group peeking through the window, a spray of bullets penetrates the window, but luckily you all manage to dive out of the way in time to avoid any lead for now.

    Sun wastes no time. In-between a spray of bullets, he balls a fist, focuses all his power into it, and lets it fly into the door, trying to shatter the barrier to pieces. He then positions him in such a way any bullets would more likely hit him instead of his teammates while still allowing his group to attack the gunman.

    The door falls with ease as most doors aren't designed to withstand the power of the Sun. As the crumpled mass shoves the desk forward and crashes to the ground, Sun notices the guard has tossed something. He glances down to see a grenade has rolled perfectly at his feet.

    In a moment of pure adrenaline and survival instinct, Kitaro dodges away from the grenade, drops the levitation spell on the cart and casts an armour spell on Sun who is about to take the full blast from the grenade.

    Seeing the grenade at his feet, Sun thinks for a fraction of a second to just kick it away. The mere thought of it brings back the memory of him as a little kid, at the monastery, playing soccer with the other students. He kicked the ball, it bounced off against a low wall, and smacked him right in the face. The kids mocked him about it for weeks after that.

    Not wanting to suffer the pain of such humiliation again, Sun decides it's less painful to just throw himself on the grenade to save his team.

    Emiko, without thinking, turns and runs. She will take out her stun gun and shoot at any soldier that comes into sight.

    Turn 1

    With the grenade in play, suddenly the world moves in a slow motion whirl of panic. Kitaro drops the cart a couple centimeters to the ground with a thump and throws up a protective spell on Sun as he dives out of the way.

    Torpor fires off a shot around Sun that ends up hitting the desk near the guard then also runs up the stairs along with Emiko and Sam.

    Sun, being ever the hero, doesn't run. Instead he hops onto the grenade and attempts to contain the blast with all his dwarven constitution. The blast goes off, lifting him a few inches off the ground in the process, but otherwise shielding everyone in the area from harm. One would expect the dwarf to be reduced to chunky flesh salsa, but in this particular match it appears to be dwarven constitution 1, grenades 0. Sun is bruised and battered, but otherwise fine. ((8S damage))

    The guard opens fire through the door where luckily Sun is currently prone and behind a desk, so he isn't currently caught in the spray. Emiko however is caught in it as she pokes her head out to fire a shot at the guard. Dodging in between bullets, she's caught in the shoulder by the spray, but luckily her armor catches most of it ((3 stun damage)). Even more luckily, she manages to fire off an incredible shot that actually hits the guard, despite the incoming gunfire, desk cover, and her meager shooting skills. The guard shakes under the electric shock, but continues firing.

    Incredibly, Sun gets onto his feet with an impressive kip up, then flips over the desk, slides down the remains of the door hanging on the other side, rolls across the ground, does another flip over the desk the guard is firing from and lands right on top of the guard, all while apparently avoiding the incoming gunfire. He only "apparently" avoids the gunfire though. In reality, he actually is hit by the bullets, but completely doesn't notice in his adrenal surge to get at the guard. The guard however is less capable of ignoring the incoming ham fist of Sun and is totally floored by the dwarf's hulking punch. The guard does not get up after that.

    Sun is about to stand up and give a thumbs up to the others when the roar of gunfire sends chips of desk all over him. From his new vantage point he can see another turret like the one before. Clearly it is meant to shoot at either the elevator or front door so it was not within his line of sight from the stairwell. It is now though!
