Mission 2b - Special Delivery

Chougou will suggest that they wait around till Wujen has rested a little bit and has some time to think.

Comm:
"The freeway will get us there quicker, but we are open targets if someone is actually after us. The streets will get us there slower, but we are stuck if another firefight breaks out."

"Who's up for taking the freeway? I think that we should gather our thoughts for an hour or so, then make a dash for it. I don't want to be held down in another ambush type situation."

Torpor looks for refill kits for his medkit. ((how much are they? ))

"Alright guys I'm good for now what about yall?"

Chougou is ready to go, he rigs back into the van

"I'm going to keep taking the back roads is you guys are ok with that. If feel like the freeway has to much exposure."

"Your driving"

With your purchases quickly made, you all head back to the van and head out just as you hear the sounds of sirens approaching. It's time to get out of here.

With Chougou at the wheel, you head out to your destination via back roads. Traffic is still a constant issue, at least until you start to enter the Kita Barrens. Traffic abruptly disappears as you enter an area where the streets are far less maintained and there is not a window in sight without heavy metal bars on it.

Up ahead you see several humans walking across the street, illegal weapons obviously displayed. But then police don't come down here. No one would ever bother to arrest them here. They have assault rifles, some grenades, one person even has a rocket launcher over his shoulder. Though Chougou's van can take some heavy damage, that is more than enough to make him nervous.

One by one the humans walk across the street, clearly not making any effort to get out of your way. In fact, as they notice you, you see a couple of them dragging a young elf woman across the street. She is bound with so much rope that she is physically unable to walk or move her arms in any way, though by the look of her clothing, she seems to be a gang member, likely of a rival gang judging by the way she is being treated. Blood drips from dirty wounds that have formed from being dragged along the pavement. As you approach, the humans give a gesture toward the elf, as if inviting you to drive over her prone body. She frantically struggles against her bonds as she realizes what they intend to happen to her. If you do not stop, you will surely be responsible for this woman's death, but you also get the feeling that these heavily armed humans will not appreciate it much if you snub their invitation, and most of you are still pretty beat up from the last gangers you decided to meddle with...

Sun was dozing off from the gentle wobbling by the van. As the van comes to a stop, so does the wobbling, which wakes him up. "Are we there?"

(ooc: How am I feeling after resting in the van until now?  Am I going to pass out any second?)

"Well...What's the plan here?  Obviously we aren't going to execute this person for them, and I'm not really in favor of leaving them to their tender mercies... but we already did this once today and it didn't turn out so well."

Chougou absolutely would not help anyone execute someone, and they knew that they were going into a bad area so I guess fights are going to be inevitable...

"Do they...what the hell...are they trying to get us to...to run her over? By crow, these places are even worse than I had thought."

Over the comm:
"Ok, looks like we've got more trouble guys. These want us to run that girl over and I assume that you are in agreeance with me that that is a not thing that we will accommodate them on."

"Our only advantage here is surprise. I don't think I could ram them without them getting a few shots off at us, but I can stop in front of them and pretend to be confused. We need to move quick to take them out. Are you with me on this plan?"

"We will be targets after this. This will probably become a warzone. We have the choice to slowly back out of here and abandon this job if we need to."
