Mission 5a - i-Sexbot

With the aid of his trusty defunct-search engine agents, Sam attempts to place a third mark on the drone node:

Sam powers up the drone swarm and taps into the video feed to see what it sees. He records this feed on his deck. He commands the drones to rotate 360 degrees to get a good view of everything they can see without moving them out of range of where they should be.

Sam does that.

Emiko attempts a hack on one of the nodes

Sam notices that the system has spotted Emiko. He doesn't think that the system has seen him yet, but it's time to be prepared for it.

He doesn't see any immediate danger to either of them yet, so he continues his recon. Now that they're spotted, no reason to be quite so careful. He commands the drones to do a quick search around the room, hoping to get some more detailed footage and a clearer picture of potential dangers and targets in the factory. Lycos and Jeeves help him to order the drones (9 hits rolled in Discord)

He hits his configurator button, and prepares for cybercombat.

Emiko knows she's been spotted and still has a moment to either prepare to be attacked or jack out. She struggles with the idea but decides the best and safest thing to do would be to get away.  

Emiko switches from Hot Sim to AR in an attempt to get away from the system. Once switched, she then jacks out.

She messages Sam:

Sam swaps attack for sleaze, and sends the drones searching again. This time, checking to see if the office seems like it is currently used.
He has Jeeves help him with the command, but has Lycos look around for any more maglocks or drone system nodes that haven't yet been identified. (Looking for nodes corresponding to physical systems)(4 hits for control device, 5 hits for matrix perception)

Sam adds a point from sleaze to data processing, and tries sending the drones to search again. This time aided by both agents. (8 hits)

Sam sends the drones to look around for the other four drones locations. (8 hits)

Sam does some back of the napkin calculations, and decides that he has a 75% chance of randomly guessing a node different from the one that he just found out of the remaining 4 drone nodes.

He probably didn't find all of the drone nests in this room, though. So, his chances of choosing a useful node drops. Hopefully, there are more of these drones kept in the area where it seems like work is actually being done, and his chances of choosing a useful node to hack are closer to 75% than to 10%.

Jeeves and Lycos do their best to help Sam hack two marks onto one of the unmarked drone nodes.

Sam sends the drones down the hallways towards the stairs, trying to get his bearings as to where this drone box was located, and seeing if there are any notable features he can pick out that may give some clue as to where to search for the loot.

"Of course you're encrypted. I bet you even have some kind of data trap too," Emiko says to the file she downloaded.

Emiko goes into hot sim and checks the file before hacking:

Sam doesn't think that he will have time to hack another node, and can't see anything else in particularly useful to do. So, he decides to create just a little it mayhem and destruction. He orders the topside drones to divebomb headlong into the office window overlooking the factory floor. If possible after crashing through the window, he orders them to continue full speed into the ground. (6 hits)
