Mission 5a - i-Sexbot

When Tetsu left the room, Emiko’s motion sensors notified her of activity. She therefore leaves AR expecting danger. Instead, she finds only Sam and the dead guard in the room and Tetsu on the lower factory floor engaging with a guard. Emiko sees the gun by the office guard and picks it up.

She runs to the rail, points the gun at the factory guard, and yells, “put your weapon down, move to the bottom of the stairs, and get on the ground. If you don’t, my friend down there and I will dismember you in the most painful way you will beg for us to end your life.” Emiko uses her voice modulator to create a menacing voice.

Intimidation: 7 hits

Sam attempts to place a third mark.
As he's about to throw his mark, he feels off... He feels like he didn't craft this mark properly, and redoubles his effort (9 hits after using edge)

Emiko says, "bring that guard upstairs. If he looks like he's going to give you trouble, kill him."

If the guard and Tetsu get to the office, Emiko directs the guard to sit on a chair, keeping the gun trained on him.

"I'm going to talk fast because we don't have a lot of time. If you try anything, we'll kill you. If I think you're lying to me, we'll put you in a world of hurt and then kill you. Help us and you'll live."

"First, who did you call and how many other guards are here?"

Sam sends a command to the drone cluster to shut down, and delays the restart for a year.(7 hits)
Then, he reboots his own deck, with no delay.
When it comes back online, he sets the deck back to run silent and hacks a mark back onto the factory host.(whatever my limit is in hits, after edge)

"You don't know us and you have no way to trust us." Emiko looks to Tetsu and says, "if this man cooperates, do not kill him," she looks back at the guard, pauses, and looks back at Tetsu, "or dismember him."

Still talking to Tetsu, she looks back at the guard, "but if he does not cooperate, do not hesitate to do what you do so well."

"Again, who did you call and how many guards are here?"

Emiko says to Tetsu, “ Axe Guy, break one of his fingers to see if that helps him focus.” To the guard she says, “I’m quickly losing patience. The next thing Axe Guy breaks is your neck. You ready to answer some questions?”

Sam turns his attention to the newcomer, and attempts to place a mark on it. (8 hits)

Sam hits his configurator button and, since he's doing this, drops out of running silent. (+2 to Sam's, Lycos's, and Jeeves's initiatives. Current array: D9 A8 F8 S1)

In meat space, Sam points his pudgy hand up towards the drone swarm (the drone swarm icon, anyway) and watches as a dazzling green laser shoots from his hand at the drones! (Data spike 9 hits)

Tetsu and Emiko do not see the laser. They just see Sam ineffectually reaching towards oncoming doom.

Emiko yells, “Axe Guy, take care of Screemy,” and takes out her deck setting it to A8 F6 D4 S2. Using AR, she focuses on the drone’s node and attacks.

Data spike: 7 hits

Sam continues pointing at the drones and shooting lasers from his fist. It's like the end of an X-men movie. Through Sam's glasses. (6 hits, data spike the swarm)

He orders Jeeves and Lycos to continue attacking the swarm until he tells them otherwise.(Next init pass, Sam is out of init. Lycos data spike 7 hits (teamwork from Jeeves). Next pass, Jeeves out of init. Lycos data spike 4 hits.)

Emiko takes the opportunity of the drones operating less coordinated by thrusting her deck back in her jacket and pulling out her taser. She aims at a random drone and fires.

Sam switches off the wireless on his deck.

Emiko stays by Sam, with the taser in hand, waiting for the next sign of danger to present itself. To Sam she says, “our friend just went downstairs chasing after a guard. We need to get him, find anyone held captive, get the chips, and get the hell out of here.”

Seeing that Tetsu has caught up with the guard, and taken off his leg, Sam calls down to Tetsu, "Can you not murder this one?"

As Tetsu replies, Sam makes his way down the stairs.

"Is the astral plane clear?" He asks Emiko, as they head down. "If it is, try to unlock the hatch."

"Do not murder him," Sam says. "I will stabilize him."

Once he makes his way down, while Emiko is astrally perceiving and trying to pick locks, Sam slaps a trauma patch on the guard.

Emiko looks into the astral plane, looking in office and the factory floor while following Sam.
