Mission 2b - Special Delivery

Torpor snaps pictures of the faces to the men in the van then goes over to Carl and shows the images on his commlink and asks, "Do any of these men look familiar? " watching for any glimmer of recognition as he flips through the images especially the one that seems to be the leader.

((Checking for cyber on their PAN will require you to hack into their network. Alternately you could just shut down their commlinks and any devices slaved to their PAN would no longer be protected by it. You would need to do a matrix perception test to recognize what the individual icons actually are though. That's computers + intuition limited by data processing of whatever device you are using to do it with))

Carl takes a look at the images and says, "No. Can't say that I do. Should I? If they are 'horror decorations' I can take care of them for you through my horror recycling program. "

"Nah,  not yet anyway.  Maybe layer though,  i will let you know." Torpor says before heading back to the van. He pulls out the commlink to the leader and pulls up the pan on the menu to see if it shows up when he's close to the leader or maybe says out of range.

((no computer skill,  but i think knowing where where my menu is for my commlink showing my pan, and if i am not around my commlink and searched for my pan weekday would happen))

The commlink is luckily not locked so Torpor is able to take a look through it. The device is obviously a cheap burner with nothing connected to it. It was probably only used for communication for this particular mission. Torpor does notice a tracker app that likely is used in conjunction with a tracking device. The tracking device is currently disabled however.

Chougou says goodbye to Carl and goes and get in his van to wait for the others to join him or not.

((ichigo will say goodbye to Carl and then walk to the van )) "So what are we doing with these guys?"

Chougou's search of local love hotels finds that they cost about 20 nuyen for 2-3 hours or 50 nuyen for the night (starting from 11 pm, which it is now well after).

By the time you get to a nearby one, Wujen has rested enough that he is groggily awakening from the various drugs in his system (probably). ((roll willpower + body, you have recovered that many boxes of stun damage))

The hotel is called "Hotel 555". It is a gaudy building with neon lights all over it. The entrance allows you to drive in and park in a stall which has a curtain that closes to hide your car from passersby as well as its occupants as they step into the room. Not overly concerned about the room's actual theme, you find a random one with an unoccupied parking space and stop there. An AR image of the room appears as you park, allowing you to see its contents.

Looking through the AR on your commlinks, the room appears to be themed after the Brightstar character Harry Hamster. Every possible surface is covered with the cartoon character, as well as his female counterpart Harriet. There are dozens of dolls of not just the two hamsters, but their friends as well, including Sam and Sally Swan, Ditsy Dog, and various others, all of whom are happily sitting upon a huge canopy bed. The room also features a karaoke machine, a slot machine, a trideo featuring pornography and video games, a steam room, and an over-sized bath for two, or possibly three if you squeeze in. There is also a small vending machine that sells drinks and adult toys/costumes, some of which are themed after Brightstar characters. It is unclear what kind of clientele this particular room is meant to cater to, but they have certainly gone to no small amount of effort getting there.

What rating commlink are these, and are they the same? All 5.

All of the commlinks appear to be the same model: cheap Meta Link commlinks. Mostly made to be disposable and affordable rather than secure and fancy. ((rating 1))

Chougou thinks that they only need the one room and settles the bill with his own money and then sends a request for money of the proportional amount from everyone. He then finds a spot to sleep in after he sets up the flyspy to alert them to movement, he just needs a cushy chair if there is one.

"We should probably take shifts staying awake to watch these guys too, we don't know what kind of a mood they are going to wake up in."

"Sure thing, wiz. I'll take first guard."

" i will take 2nd watch If anyone wanna join me? Oh chougou i have had work done on my eyes and i could like up with your flyspy or any of your drones if beed be!"

"I'll take last watch, wake me when you need me. " Torpor says then proceeds to carry the bodies (drags) to the room.

"Here let me help you."

"Chougou gives Ichigo the ability to pilot and use the flyspy. Wake me up for a watch sometime, I don't want to be the only one getting a full night's sleep" says Chougou as he drifts off and starts snoring adorably.

Torpor puts all the men in the room and ties them together. One group of 2, one group of 3. He then goes back to the van and goes to sleep.

Body+Will

Assuming nothing calamitous happens over night, Wujen wakes up in the morning and goes in search of some ice water and bread to help soak up the last traces of his near fatal overdose of the night before.

Outside the room, he addresses the group, "Ok, simple mind probe is where I will start.  We have other options, but they can require us to really subdue these guys in a way that makes them unable to think.  I have a spell that helps with that too, and if their minds are weak enough Little Dragon can plant suggestions that will make them do whatever we want, including talk about last nights events.  A Spirit of Man has the same trick, but powerful spirits are finicky."

"So, Mind Probe.  It's pretty straight forward.  I'll set up a magical link in their mind, which will hopefully dig deep enough that I can get into their memories.  Sometimes you don't get anything but surface thoughts, sometimes you can pick up things they have forgotten or even were never aware they knew.  We are just aiming for their memories, and how hard that is really depends on how strong and intelligent their minds are."

"Once I start, I'll keep a running commentary on what I find.  It's harder to use the spell again for several hours, so if you think of something just ask so I can look for the answer while the spell is active the first time.  Very little is volunteered, I have to go looking, so ask"

"And that's it for now.  We will just have to see how it goes."

With that Wujen looks into the room, concentrates on the 'leader' and begins his casting
