    I must've missed nerve strike and the coat in the book. Core has very limited adept strike skills, actually. Are these two core, or from an additional book?

    Hi there!
    Nerve Strike is from the Street Grimoire.  It's really a low STR unarmed combat technique.  
    Probably more interesting to you would be the Martial Arts techniques that exist in Run & Gun particularly ones that pair well with my clinch+throw (e.g. Pouncing Dragon).
    I can't post links until my membership is 7 days old, but search for "6000 words on martial arts" and you'll find a great reddit thread outlining martial arts.

    I built Sato so the two of us adepts would play well together.  He is an infiltrator who focuses on silently disabling weaker foes when alone.  In regular combat with you, he will clinch and throw foes to the ground, enabling you to lay down the hurt.

    I look forward to our partnership!

    I took my adept skills from the core book, as I was told to keep to that. Hence the surprise. You're far more experienced in the rules, so I guess it's less complicated for you to take from other books as well. It'll be a great additional learning experience for me Very Happy

    Happy to make some recommendations. I've been playing Shadowrun off and on since the first version, but believe it or not, I've never played an adept martial artist (I'm usually the decker). I'm excited to try one!

    The best book to start with is Run & Gun. It's got a lot about martial arts.

    Note also that since we're in a PBP game where combat is much more difficult to manage, it will probably be good to pick up some non-combat investigative skills and powers (or at least play up what you have).

    Updates per our conversation to make Sato more of a FaceAdept given how many PhysAds we have and how we may split into different groups.  Exec summary is I kept most things but tweaked the Adept powers, qualities and skills to have more Face capability.  What I lost was the anti-spirit capabilities.  I wrestled with the mentor spirit a lot as Bishamontonwould be very nice, but ultimately kept it the same because it's so central to the concept of the character as presented so far (also Luxury lifestyle has very interesting implications for facing that I'm interested in exploring)

    Is this a 2nd suit, or are you rolling again for the first one? Cuz the first one comes in, just took longer than expected. The holster and nonconductivity are part of that right?

    Same question for the contacts and ear buds. I gave you the time they took to get to you before, is this a second set?

    The only thing that you failed on before was the glasses which apparently are having distribution issues at the factory as they are still unavailable.
