    In Game Dice Roller

Post by KingFisher on Wed Jun 27, 2018 8:13 am

At the moment we don't seem to be using a dice roller that is visible here, and that the result can't change.
So what dice roller are we planning to use so the results are visible here and don't change?

The dice roller is fine here, just don't edit a post that you have made a roll in otherwise the roll changes. You can see if a post has been edited, so if that is the case, we will just assume the roll was a failure to prevent cheating.

If you prefer, you can use rolz.org.

Just put a # before whatever you want to roll then post the results you get.

    Eg: #4d6

either works for me. There are other sites that do it as well if you prefer them. So long as we can see the results somehow, I am not so picky about what you use.

Rolz has the advantage of being able to edit your post without screwing up the rolls. The forum roller has the advantage of not needing to bother with a separate web site and it is easier to read the results.

Is there a way to set up a macro so that we can just push a button and tell it how many dice to roll, similar to how the quote function works?

If you are in full editor mode, there is a button that looks like a square with 3 dots in it. If you hover over it, it says "more/less buttons". click that and there should be a button that looks like a black die with six pips. Click that and then d6. Then all you have to do is fill out the number of dice.
