    Be sure to include the rating of your gear, when appropriate. Your fake SIN and license in particular should have a rating. The license should also specify what it is a license for, since you don't just purchase a universal license for everything.

    Be sure to include details for your other stuff too. For example, you have a day job, what is it? Same for your mentor spirit.

    I see that you purchased a basic subscription to a skillsoft network, but I am not sure why. You don't have the cyberware required to take advantage of such a network (you need skillwires and a skilljack for activesofts and just a skilljack for knowsofts and linguasofts). It is a little like paying for an internet subscription when you don't have a device that connects to the internet.

    The skillsoft entry was a place holder for the lifestyle cost. Updated the license, fake SIN and prejudice. The exact prejudice is for creatures not part of the cycle of life (ghouls,werewolves,bodies possessed by demons,etc)

    Alright, you look like most of your stuff is fine now. You still need contacts, knowledge/language skills (the local native language is Desian Common, other languages can be found here) and to spend your excess karma. You can save up to 7 karma for when you get into the game, anything beyond that which you don't spend is lost. Note that if you are having a big issue with cash, you can turn some of that Karma into cash. Each point can be converted to 2,000 nuyen, though the most you can get is 10 karma worth.

    Due to your affinity with manipulation spells, the shrine you are most likely to be affiliated with is the Kokoro Temple. A likely contact from that contact page I made is Kireina Yuumei (she is a miko at that temple).

    Background

    Abandoned to an orphanage as a baby as her parents didn't want the stigma of having a non human child. She didn't know who her parents were and grew up half believing that all the others kids in the orphanage were her siblings.
    As the corporates didn't want to waste resources feeding a bunch of unwanted outcasts, a religious group looked after the bills. A group of Shinto "nuns" looked after the orphans and a stern priest made sure they were "raised to be good moral kids".
    The kids were given 3 square meals a day, bunk beds in dormitories to sleep in and clean clothes to wear. Considering what happened to kids in other places this was a little corner of heaven.
    As the kids got older their "destinies" started to become apparent.
    One by one the kids got divided by their potential.
    The Awakened were in split up by spell caster or summoner.
    The street sams and Adepts were put together and the technical ones likewise.

    Little Kazumi learned a lot about the world and what her potential path in life would be.
    Surprisingly she was equally good at spell casting and summoning.
    She was a good student, learned her Shinto prayers and was a good pius girl.
    She might have gone on to a nice boring job as a security mage, or looking after spirits for one of the big companies but fate wasn't done with her yet.
    The class of spell casters were taught primers on all the main schools of magic to see what they were best at. Kazumi excelled at Manipulation magic.
    The could levitate her scrolls and tidy her room with a wave of her hand.
    Most of her classmates were starting to chose or be chosen by mentor spirits.
    Kazumi prayed every night to be picked but she never was.
    Until one day she was walking the street minding her own business bringing back some small supplies when a car with 3 angry young men, listening to very angry music started following her.
    Kazumi wasn't the most streetwise soul but she quickly figured out these punks weren't going to help her carry her supplies home and were probably going to beat her senseless.
    She could blast the car and try to out run them but they'd only come back.
    She could try to stun the driver and hope the problem confused them.
    No she'd have to look like someone else.
    She closed her eyes and preyed to the Kami that she really wanted to look like one of the cleaning women she'd seen about the orphanage.
    She felt a slight rush of wind and when she looked at her hands they weren't her own.
    They were calloused, worn and older then she was.
    When the car pulled up next to her she did her best impression of Mrs Chan.
    Giving them the severe look the messy students often got when they were under her feet, she demanded to know what they were doing making an unholy racket when that trash they called music.
    Why were they shouting racist comments at a woman out doing her shopping?
    Why she had a good mind to talk to their mothers about this kind of behaviour.

    The punks went pale, turned the radio off and sped away.
    It was only when she caught sight of herself in the window of a parked car, she saw she looked exactly like Mrs Chan.
    She went quickly back to the orphanage and went to look for the Meko.
    Over a strong cup of green tea, she told the Meko everything that had happened.
    It looked like she had been chosen by a Kami after all, Kitsune the trickster spirit. Mistress of change and wearer of a thousand faces.

    As the years passed Kazumi learned a lot about magic, and about spirits.
    While she learned how to defend herself, she also knew that the best defence was to not get hit in the first place. So she learned lots of ways to use her gifts on others that were very hard to detect.

    In time she left the orphanage and went off to make her fortune.
    She drifted around and came to the capital.

    In the relatively short space of time she's been here she's settled in well.

    She introduced herself to the Temple of the Heart and offered to write blessing scrolls as she was quite good at calligraphy. This earned her a few Nuyen every month and gave her a good cover for her shadowrunning exploits.

    She stumbled on a former hotel that had been badly damaged in a fire and was being converted into some kind of politiclub. About 3 months after she arrived the club opened for business.
    The Artemis Club, said the brass plate on the heavy wooden doors with steel cores.

    The club was a safe place for women to hang out, do business, meet up for a job or get some training.
    Some of the bedrooms on the third floor were available to rent, and Kazumi rented one.
    The club is far from complete with its restorations and most of the building is empty but it's becoming a useful place to pick up little snippets of gossip or a job or two.

    Kazumi has a room to herself, with a bathroom too. There's a secure locker in the basement for her shadowrunning gear. Part of her room has been subtly dressed with little items of things that change.
    Seeds and nuts are placed in little bowls around the room. Little carved caterpillars are placed on shelves. You can tell it's a Kami shrine, probably to a spirit of manipulation but there's nothing obvious to declare it a shrine to Kitsune.

    As part of her travels Kazumi has learned that sometimes it's important to be able to create a shrine using only the power of your mind, and this has been very useful when she's forced to travel away from her base for several days.

    Kazumi has started to make friends in different circles throughout the city to help her get work and also to keep an ear on what's going on that might be interesting.

    Kazumi has been on several shadowruns and on her first one didn't really know what to call herself.
    In the end she was given the handle KingFisher because she was mostly harmless and could flit about very quickly. It was meant to be slightly patronising but Kazumi has taken to it.
    For one thing it doesn't say what race, gender, or profession she is. She can always change it if she needs to.

    Most days Kazumi can be found doing a few hours work outside the Temple of Heart selling charms, or relaxing in the Artemis Club.
    She's started using one of the Security staff there Rosa Pine, as a sort of Mr Johnson.
    Rosa used to be a Street Brawl player before she got badly injured and forced to retire.
    Rosa likes to think the poiliticlub has a duty to protect women from cruel violent men.
    From time to time she's hired small bands of shadowrunners to cause minor mischief.
    One of the Yakuza who beat his girlfriend so badly she left him, woke up one morning to find someone had broken into his expensive car. Turned the heating on full blast and filled the interior with raw sewage, fish guts and sour milk.
    He didn't know who'd done it, but it wasn't bad enough for him to get permission to go cracking heads over it. He'd have to clean the car himself.

    Kazumi is mostly seen wandering in her kimono.

    Alright, for you background you have the following positive qualities for free:
    Rank I (from Run Faster if you have the book and want to look it up, but the gist is here) - Applies to the Artemis club, and effectively means you have a minor rank within the group (feel free to come up with whatever hierarchy you like for the group and maybe post it here for later reference). This quality gives you a +1 to your social limit when dealing with other members of the group and increases if you get promoted
